On private beach with outdoor pool, near Newport Fishing Pier
At The Sunny, spend the day on the private white sand beach where you can enjoy snorkeling. Then return for a meal at one of the resort's 4 restaurants.
The Sunny offers 340 air-conditioned accommodations with safes and bathrobes. Each accommodation is individually furnished and decorated. 65-inch LCD televisions come with premium satellite channels and pay movies. Guests can make use of the in-room refrigerators and minibars. Bathrooms include bathtubs or showers, slippers, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Additionally, rooms include irons/ironing boards and blackout drapes/curtains. Cribs/infant beds (complimentary) and rollaway/extra beds (surcharge) are also available. Housekeeping is provided daily.

The hotel is amazing and the beach views from those rooms are incredible. Only downside is how far North it is but if you make time it’s worth it for the vibe, service, and comfort.

The room was okay. The sliding glass door hardly worked, and I had to get maintenance to come over and fix. It still was super hard to open and clos and it wouldn't lock. I do want to give a shout out to the older Spanish woman that worked at the little cafe, that lady worked her. But off and was very pleasant.

The staff was incredibly friendly—from the front desk, to the room attendants. Everyone was helpful and genuine, which I felt was unusual as you’d expect someone to be having a bad day, but that was not the case. Everyone was happy and excited to assist. The remodel was gorgeous, and the lobby had me wandering around looking at all the details and beautiful artwork. The complimentary fresh-squeezed Florida OJ was a very nice touch in the lobby too. Obviously, the pier was fun to walk on, but unfortunately, I came on the coldest weekend and wasn’t able to use the pool, beach, or outdoor amenities. The room was very comfortable and beautiful as well. My only two complaints are that the hot water pipes ran right behind my room and rattled both nights, but luckily, I was able to sleep better the second night. The second issue was that the motion light detector kept going on and off unnecessarily in the front hall and bathroom. Luckily, I was able to fix it with a piece of painter’s tape, but both issues were not solvable at the moment by the engineer but said would be addressed after I checked out. Overall, I’d give a 9.3 out of 10 and would highly recommend it and would absolutely stay again.

Spent my birthday there with my family. The Sunny is a VIBE. Excellent service from the staff from the moment you enter the stylish, freshly renovated digs. We enjoyed meeting the staff Kelly, Noelia and Kiora. The food and drinks are excellent. Great stay for people of all ages!

Horrible….Motel 6 is better than this property. No A/C, mo hot water. They are under construction and the current rooms are falling apart. The dresser drawers have holes in them. The lamps are broken. But, they continue to charge for the rooms like a 4 or 5 star hotel.

When we first pulled in we were greeted promptly by the valet. It was cheaper to have valet park the car than the parking garage so we opted for that. Check in was so quick and easy. The lobby has an area that has Lovebirds! So so cute. Going through the hallway to the rooms left a lot to be desired. It was very out of date. The room itself was a little dated too but it was clean and comfortable. Getting to the pool and beach was excellent. On the beach two chairs are included so that was helpful. The pool was very clean (minus the sand from the beach) and the poolside bar was incredible. Such nice staff! When we checked out we were able to leave our bags and car while we went out and shopped. No extra charge either! Great location.

My family and I stay here a who week. When we first arrived we got pretty excited the lobby was pretty nice. I thought the room would be the same. To our surprise the room was pretty outdated and dirty (out run had pink mold). We were on the 3rd floor and every time we walked from the elevator to the room I’d smelled like pee. If you’re looking for a cheap beach front hotel this is it. Don’t expect a luxurious place, don’t let their pictures deceive you. The only thing nice about this hotel was lobby, the valet personnel, the location (it’s in walking distance to many restaurants and stores) and you have quick beach access. The hotel is pretty overpriced for the quality but then again you’re paying for its location and access to the beach. On our second day we found roaches in our room and the AC unit sucked. The last couple years we've been staying at the Marco Polo on the same strip but we wanted to try a different spot to see if we had better luck but it was worst. Will never stay here again.

Went for our honey moon and was instantly offered an upgrade. The desk rep was amazing and so nice! I wish I would of gotten his name! Views were so beautiful beach and pool right outside our room. Hotel was close to stores and restaurants. The beach even had service where they bring food and drinks! Even though the hotel Was going through renovations it barely bothered us. I would love to return soon.

PLACE IS ADVERTISE WITH FREE PARKING ON EXPEDIA, IT IS A LIE! EXPEDIA DOES THIS A LOT NOW A DAYS. THEY HAVE ROCHETS ,( COCKROACHS). ANOTHER ROOM FROM ANOTHER GUEST HAD LOTS OF LEAKING WATER ON THE AC UNIT. CARPET ON EACH FLOOR LOOKS OLD . THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS HOTEL IS THE POOL AND BEACH RIGHT NEXT TO IT. STAFF IS FRIENDLY . WILL NEVER COMEBACK TO THIS HOTEL. HAVING COCKROACHS IS A BAD ENOUGH PROBLEM AND END UP TAKING THEM HOME AND RUINING OUR HOME. HOTEL NEEDS LOTS OF WORK. A PLACE LIKE THIS SHIULD BE WORTH HALF OF THE PRICE THEY OFFER OR EVEN LESS FOR SURE.

Construction going on on top 4 floors. So very noisy. The remaining floors are dusty and carpets are run down and very dirty. The power gets cut frequently. We had one whole day without power due to construction.
