Close for the winter and renovate

The location is excellent for accessing Galveston and Kemah, but still reasonable for other Houston entertainment. Room size was great and comfortable. Staff was friendly.

The reviews are correct. Believe them. I can handle outdated, but outright repair and maintenance deficiencies are not OK. This hotel does not meet Hilton standards, and if they were to have a franchise check, it would likely be revoked. Extreme maintenance issues with walls, ceilings with holes, cracking/broken molded baseboards, broken door handles, difficult faucets, and areas you didn't want to stare at too much, or you'd be disgusted. Should have taken pics, but I was too turned off and more pics than could have posted. I'm sure duplicates of other reviews. Housekeeping seems to do the best they can and showed thoughtful care to cleaning our room, but it's beyond them. The hotel needs an extreme renovation. Also, the hotel gets way too much compensation to only have 1 waffle maker. Which are not expensive. There should have been at minimum 2. If you recognize the need for 2 toasters, you are well aware there should be 2 waffle makers.

Breakfast was quite good. The breakfast room was comfortable. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

The web site showed an address as 401 Bay Area Blvd. I put that location in Waze and it took me to a car wash. The actual address is E. Bay Area Blvd. Big difference.

Room felt old, unattended. Floors were uneven, couch looked super old, light switches weren't working, beds were uncomfortable, there was what appeared to be mold/dark spots on bathroom ceiling. Room felt dirty.

We will visit this location again. Good location, food, and staff.

The breakfast was better than I was expecting. We have stayed in various Homewood Suites and this one has the best breakfast so far. The ladies working the food area kept it stocked and cleaned. The food is Sysco food that you get at any hotel, however, it was actually good.

There was no soap for the dishwasher in the room. We rinsed the few cups we used and loaded the dishwasher before we left, but could not start it before we left.

Hot breakfast, clean rooms, evening social event with soups, salads and drinks.

Leaking and noisy tub faucet and being on the first floor. Too much stomping from guests on upper floors. Next time I will request to be on any other floor but the first floor.

issue with staff system frozen while checking In went through on my card but management kept charging my card with the first transaction pending while on a weekend it wasn’t and it’s going to post till Monday i say that to say the company has charged my card 1300 plus because of an error on their side I don’t recommend staff couldn’t give me a valid answer as to why

My new weekend getaway home!

My room was wonderfully beautiful. It reminded me of a small one bedroom apartment. Extremely clean and with a fully equipped kitchen. This property has raised my hotel staying bar. The hot breakfast was good, I was surprisingly impressed.

One cabinet in the kitchen wouldn't open.
