Despite the "Platinum" in its name, this hotel is severely outdated and, more importantly, poorly maintained. The Biggest Issue: Unbearable Air Quality The room had such a powerful, pungent smell that I couldn't stay inside for more than 10 minutes without my eyes watering. It was clearly a severe mold problem. I requested a room change, but the second room was exactly the same. When I tried to open the windows for fresh air, I found they were locked shut. Management's Response The staff claimed the smell was due to "humidity," but it was evident that the entire building is likely infested with mold. While the staff were professional and kind enough to facilitate an exceptional free cancellation via Booking.com, it doesn't change the fact that the property is currently uninhabitable. Comparison & Verdict We moved to a nearby hotel immediately. Despite the same humid climate, the new hotel was perfectly fresh and clean, proving that the humidity is no excuse for poor maintenance. Recommendation: This hotel needs to be closed and undergo a full, top-to-bottom renovation before it is fit for tourists. If you have kids or respiratory sensitivities, stay away.

Overall the staff is nice, the room was great, and even though it was a weekend it was quiet.

The location was close to plenty of restaurants and the mall.

All 3 days we were there the main breakfast item was biscuits and gravy. Flavor was good but the biscuits were hard and the gravy wasn’t warmed all the way. Although the pool is inside it was cold (honestly not sure if it specified a heated pool or not) and the hot tub didn’t work.

Our room smelled like wet dog. Our key didn’t work, locked out bringing in our bags. No conditioner in the shower, very small bar of soap for washing hands at the sink. Neighbors were smoking pot- the facility said they were 100% no smoking. Breakfast had no fresh fruit, juice was low or out and the toaster didn’t toast. Just kinda added up for what we paid. Not a high end hotel being named Platinum. Kind of disappointing.

The room needed refurbishing. The couch had a tear in the arm of it . The bathroom door looked like some half painted it or had left some kind of white splotches all over it and the wall behind the door had a long hair stuck to it . The cabinet in the bathroom on the bottom looked like someone had patched a whole and forgot to finish the job. The elevator was nasty and the carpet on the bottom portion of the wall was worn and nasty.

Room Smelled of old smoke, even though room was non smoking. Room not well lit, Lamps have only one working bulb in each fixture. Towels were thin. The room key card was placed in a Zero fresh fruit at Breakfast Bar, no scrambled eggs, boiled only, all Sweeteners contained Aspartame, no Honey or Natural Stevia. Asked Owner, he stated “no one eats fruit, it’s a waste”. Telephone in the room was broken, advised Owner, he stated “guests continued to break the pins in phones, pointless to repair”.

Nice surprise

Everything! The size, the colors, the decor. Even the electronic window shade was a special plus (I thought it was framed art initially) there's the refrigerator/microwave feature, plus a hair dryer. The bathroom has shampoo and body wash in the shower. Huge bathrooms. Two writing desk. A sofa. Good lighting.

The water in the shower didn't get hot. It was barely warm. I let it run a good while because of the type of hardware, but it still didn't get warm enough. The shower has the flat floor drain/no tub. I don't need a tub but I'm always afraid of excess water.

My husband and I were greeted by friendly and professional staff at check in and check out. We did experience some slamming doors early in the morning, but it was the room next door who had teenage kids going in and out. We wanted to get away for a short excursion from The Woodlands and decided to go spend the night in the Bay area. I had never heard of this hotel but decided to take a chance because they had pretty good reviews and great rates. They did not let us down. We will definitely be returning again. 😉

it was an amazing stay, it was quiet and by soooooo many attractions!!!!! Was never bored I enjoyed it and the beds was amazing!!!! I will definitely be back to Houston from San Antonio next month to the platinum inn suites!!!!

HORRIFIC

Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!! Then they say they will honor a refund when you decide you just cannot stomach staying there. They lied.

There were pubes on the toilet seat when I checked into my room, looked into the shower and there was some in the shower and on the bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Went to tell the front desk so they offered to move me into a new room and then that room had a roach that ran under the bed. And where there’s one, there’s more Also, I had to tell her there was something wet on the headboard that looked like a hand print dripping. I didn’t even want to see the rest. They told me they would “honor the refund” but I had to go back through booking.com. So far they only refunded me the pet deposit on the spot but said the rest had to be done through booking.com. They have tried to email them 4 times and also call them to be able to get their (Platinum’s) confirmation, but they are giving them the run around. I called today and asked if they have replied to the email and they lied and said they did. Booking then tried calling them and they dodged it. I guess I’ll have to go up there and see what’s going on. Which sucks but I only live 15 minutes away.

My room smelled like mold it had a bad smell and I couldn’t turn off the shower faucet. The drain was clogged and the tub filled up with water. The carpet was old and I don’t know how this hotel got high reviews. I have stayed in hotels with this level of review and this hotel does not meet that standard.

Room are not clean including bed. When we checked in it smelled bad . Elevator and rooms were smelling like mold. Beds had hairs like it was not cleaned from previous guest. There was not much in breakfast. Hardly i could count 9 guest eating breakfast fast but there were not enough food. Very poor management. I’ll never go there and never recommend anyone.
