Welcome to The Gallery House, a beautifully restored Victorian townhouse just a 15-minute walk from York Minster and the city centre. Sleeping up to 8 guests, it’s perfect for families, friends and city breaks. Enjoy stylish interiors, a private courtyard for outdoor dining and socialising, and views of York Minster from the loft room. Every room showcases original artwork by local York artists, creating a stay that’s full of character and uniquely inspired by York.
The Space:
Enjoy a comfortable stay in a convenient York location, within easy walking distance of the historic city centre. The property provides a welcoming base for couples, families or friends who want to explore York while staying just outside its busiest streets.
The house has four bedrooms arranged over three floors.
On the ground floor, the front living room has a sofa and TV, leading through to the dining room and kitchen. At the end of the kitchen is a bathroom with a double shower and bath. There is also a separate toilet under the stairs.
The first floor has three bedrooms and another bathroom, while the fourth bedroom is in the attic.
Hotel-quality bed linen and towels are provided for all guests.
Local shops are available just across the road, making it easy to pick up everyday essentials during your stay. From the property, it is approximately a 15-minute walk into the city centre. Follow Bootham towards the magnificent York Minster and you will arrive right in the heart of the city, with its independent shops, restaurants, cafés and historic attractions all close at hand.

York’s best-known sights—including York Minster, the city walls, the Shambles and the many attractions, restaurants and bars of the city centre—can be reached easily on foot.
