Walpole house york

Location was great, house was spacious and had everything needed. Pool table was great fun!

Nothing

Location was amazing, great check out time of midday, great value for money. Table tennis and pool and added bonus! Clean.

No saucepans, frying pan didn't work on induction hob. Meant we couldn't boil milk or make porridge. Bed on back room had collapsed mattress one side. Didn't bother me and still got a good nights sleep.

House had lovely comfy couch, only stayed 1 night, would stay there again. Road was fairly quiet, great spot for visiting York. We walked from train station and was easy to find, took us about half an hour. There was a nice cafe on the corner, stopped for a breakfast which was lovely. Would recommend Walpole House.

Only downside really was there didn't appear to be any wheelie bins and there was rubbish backing up in the yard. Could fo with a mirror in bedroom but apart from that no problems, great comfortable home.

It’s quite well equipped, good location.

Unfortunately, when we arrived at the check-in time after a 2.5 hour drive in a heatwave, I was told they hadn’t been able to get a cleaner in that day so we couldn’t check in until later. I said that wasn’t acceptable because we had a table booked to celebrate an occasion in an hour’s time and needed to get changed. Eventually, after some to a fro, the host let me have the code to get in & get changed. We left for our reservation and the cleaner was then due to go in while we were out… which they did but they didn’t leave us any towels! It was almost midnight when we got back so I didn’t even bother chasing it. We were only there one night. Rather disappointed.
