Quiet paradise in Ubud

I had a long stay(3 weeks) in Kubu karma and was so happy and greatfull for choosing this paradise. The location is absolutely perfect, view on coconut trees but surrounded by rice fields, so close to the center but super quiet, best option ever for me. There is a lot of food, coffee and workshop options few minutes away and the busy Ubud center with a short walk or moto ride. Room was super clean and comfortable, balcony view amazing. Thank you so much for everything and i look forward coming back soon!

Wonderful homestay – a true oasis in Ubud

I really loved my stay at Kubu Karma Homestay. It is a very cute, peaceful place where you truly feel at home. You stay in the same area as a Balinese family who are incredibly kind and helpful. Sri, the daughter-in-law, is always available and ready to help with anything. The father helps with everything, and the mother also takes great care of the guests and prepares the breakfast together with Sri. The cleaning lady, Wayan, is also very nice and helpful. They also offer laundry service if you want. The breakfast is very good. Every day you can choose what you want, and you always get a big plate of fresh fruit. Everything is prepared with care and love. The rooms are really big and comfortable, with a spacious terrace or balcony. From the upper rooms, you have a beautiful view over the palm trees and rice fields, which makes the stay even more special. The location is perfect. You don’t need to go down to the busy streets of Ubud. There is a gate behind the homestay that leads to a beautiful path through the rice fields. Along this path, you’ll find several very good warungs, spas, and yoga and meditation centers. It really feels like an oasis. Campuhan Ridge Walk is also not far from the homestay and is absolutely worth visiting in the morning. Along the walk and in the middle of the rice fields, there are many nice cafés. There are also roads leading to beautiful spas and Hotel with infinity pool that you can visit with a day pass. Staying here feels like visiting your own family — your Balinese family. It is the perfect place to experience real Balinese life in a warm and authentic way. This is truly an amazing place, and I highly recommend Kubu Karma Homestay to everyone. Thank you!

An absolute gem

An absolute gem of a place. Hidden away near the rice fields, it's quiet and peaceful while only being a ten minute walk to the centre of Ubud. The family team that runs it are warm and hospitable and give the experience a real personal touch. The room was gorgeous, with your own balcony overlooking the tropical greenery. Wonderful for solo female travellers.

Such a small thing - but a fridge in the room would have been great.

Loved the quiet yet central location. The forest temple aesthetic brings an immediate sense of peace and comfort. Rooms are comfortable, creative, and spacious. Staff are always welcoming and accepting.

Beautiful home stay, incredible family, close to it all yet very quiet.

I loved how close it is to everything but how QUIET it is as well. The home stay is really tucked back near the rice fields but only a 5 min walk from the main road. The family was incredible and so open and kind. I will absolutely stay here again and would highly recommended.

I adore the Balinese family who owns the beautiful property. Everyday rituals and offerings, floral and jungle landscape, surrounded by rice fields. They take extra special care of the rooms and offer daily breakfast.

Oase der Ruhe im hektischen Ubud

Wunderschönes Guesthouse in Ubud! Die Lage ist perfekt! Eine Oase der Ruhe im hektischen Ubud! Inmitten der Ricefield-Walks super ruhig und gleichzeitig trotzdem innerhalb von fünf Minuten zu Fuß an der Hauptstraße mitten im Zentrum. Die Unterkunft und das gesamte Grundstück sind sehr authentisch im balinesischen Stil. Die Familie sowie die Angestellten sind super freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und Extrawünsche werden sehr gern erfüllt. Ich hatte ein grosses Zimmer in der ersten Etage mit sehr grossem, komfortablem Bett und eigener Terrasse mit Blick auf das Grundstück aber auch die Reisfelder. Für einen Spaziergang im Grünen innerhalb der Reisfelder ist die Unterkunft ebenfalls ein sehr schöner Ausgangspunkt. In der näheren Umgebung befinden sich ein paar kleine Warungs inmitten der Reisfelder, die man sehr schön mit einem kurzen Spaziergang erreichen kann.
