Lovely spacious light room good location - check temple practice dates!

Loved the big windows on every room that let in lots of light…good central ish location just off main road. Pool area was really nice and I had it to myself most of the time 🙂

Just be aware you right beside the temple which is lovely but check dates for bell drum practices if special ceremonies.

Great location, comfort and staff!

The location is incredible!! Easy to walk to where we wanted to go, or to Gojek/taxi. The balcony area in the unit was so nice to sit and relax. We watched what was happening at the temple opposite every night. The staff were so lovely, helpful and welcoming to our daughter. A huge Thankyou to the staff also who helped us with something we left behind!! It was a very easy process to get it back, Thankyou.

The pool area wasn’t as good as other places we have stayed but that is being picky.

For anybody with sensory issues and sound sensitivities, this place is wonderful. I felt like I was totally immersed and

The property is up a small hill and unless the gate is open cars can’t go up the property. However, for solo travelers, I think this is an added feature. It felt super safe and the beds were so comfortable, it felt like a memory foam, dense but welcoming. I stayed in a twin room which is full front glass so you look at the jungle or the massive amount of greenery right out the window. I absolutely loved it because unless anybody was staying beyond me, nobody really walked by. All staff were incredibly respectful too, you could see as they walked by nobody was up looking into the rooms and they only cleaned when you asked them too. They even left water and toilet tissue on the table outside and didn’t go into the rooms. The pool was lovely, while too cold for me during the season I was still able to sit and cool off midday for a few minutes. The bathroom was also clean and they provided soap and shampoo. Bonus is that it’s next to a theatre so for an hour each night to hear the different shows taking place, I personally liked this. It’s done by 8:30 and lights out by 9.

I think if some arrangements can be made with the properties behind the gates to the road to let cars in for drop off, this might take some planning but could be helpful for those who are less mobile. One recommendation I’d make is a side lamp for the beds. There are overhead lights and they are warm lights, so that is a huge plus (cool lights are awful)! Lastly, they have laundry service and car service available if needed.

Excellent value! Stunning grounds!

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! My room was massive with an equally massive picture window. The night swims at any hour were a dream. The staff is so kind. It's so accessible to downtown Ubud and the Ridge Walk. I would stay here again. for sure.

My only wish was that the room was not musty. It was very clean and there was no visible mold, but I think some dehumidifying for the smell and moisture would be beneficial.

Overall good for the price

Nice pool and nice greenery, well curated and in front of a lot of trees. I asked for a bedside lamp and they brought it.

The mail hall feels quite empty, and abandoned. While the plants are well kept and the alley are clean, behind my room there was some garbage piled up, and it was generally messy. The bathroom has two small holes in the wall without a net, so was a bit concerning about animals coming in. The bathroom shower of my room was not really usable as the calk didn’t allow a proper water jet. When they redo the room, they don’t bring water. Also the description on booking talks about the owner and the tours they can organize etc. In reality nobody is there and nothing is going on :)

Perfect location, so central, so welcoming, comfortable and relaxing...

I loved the location and the personal space. The pool and the meals where exceptional offering much tranquility. It is just on the edge of the busy and just 5 minutes to a walking path up the hill in pure nature. this path leads to a very beautiful peaceful village with magical restaurants and spas. Even the busy was just perfect. Just 2 mins to a dance performance temple and only a 10 mins walk to Ubud art market. So many fantastic restaurants, shops and spas.

The overall standard of the accommodation was tired, run down and in need of maintenance. Housekeeping was inconsistent, towels and bed linen smelt and the room was not cleaned properly. The breakfast was usually cold and the bread was stale.

Fantastic staff

Staff were very welcoming and friendly, the location is good and we really enjoyed breakfast.

We stayed for almost a week and we didn’t have any house keeping even when we requested it, so we had to keep asking for towels and toilet paper ect. Other than that everything was great and we would definitely recommend staying here

amazing Bungalow , the staff is amazing! breakfast is nice , a little far from the center, but still walking distance. as a solo Woman traveler , I felt safe walking in the evening there in the streets to the bungalows it was loud in the evenings sometimes , but I didn’t go to bed to early so it’s fine . big room! hot water!! I was happy stated for 4 nights!

Second.stay at Abangan Bungalows.

This was our second visit as we liked it the first time.around. one of the best places in teams of location and value for money around. Don't expect luxury but good size rooms/bungalows and great swimming pool.

Beds are a bit on the hard side. Situated next to a temple with a lot of evening programs so often Balinese music till about 22.00. Some people like that some not.

Friendly staff and gorgeous atmosphere of the place but better to get a room away from the street.

The bungalow was spacious and gave enough distance between the bungalows. The swimming pool was very agreeable and nice and clean.

The room was located right next to the road and the noises of the motor bikes in the morning were rather disturbing particularly because the morning in Bali starts early. Breakfast was very good but it'd have been better if there were more choices and have different fruits once in a while.

Overall my stay here was good and I don't really have anything to complain about.

I booked this room very late, I literally just needed a place to sleep for the night. The front desk was friendly but couldn't speak a lot of English but we fumbled through it. The location is right at the start of the main street, so there are a lot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. They put me in a family room which is set quite far back from the road so couldn't hear any noise. The room was clean, neat and tidy, the bathroom was the same. The room pretty much had everything it said on the label. Left early the next morning so don't really have any more information.

The garden was beautiful and the newly refurbished bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The pillows on the bed were disgusting. When removing the pillow case they were soiled brown underneath. I could not sleep with a pillow as they smelled so bad.

The bathroom was a bit dark and had some stains but it wasn’t really a problem, it was clean and everything worked.

Good location but very disappointing service

In a great location with good sized pool and rooms.

The staff were rather clueless and never in reception. The room smelt damp and musky and the bathroom floor looked like it’s never been mopped. The towels had a disgusting odur after one use and it was a hassle to try and get them to clean our room daily as no one was on reception. Half way through our stay they failed to mention that they would stop supplying drinking water refills. Upon voicing our concerns the response was rude and without resolution, very disappointed with a stay that on the surface looked promising.
