The environment are nice and staff are friendly. The hotel is located at city center which is walking distance to most of the places around.

The hotel is located behind the alley, it’s a bit dark when walking back to hotel at night. The shower temperature a bit problematic as the water is very hot even just slight turn.

Enjoyed my stay

Good location, however not accessible by car. It wasn’t a problem as it was not far to walk from closest drop off point. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Surawan Bisma was the perfect blend of comfort, location, and authentic Balinese charm.

The Deluxe rooms were spacious and beautifully maintained, while the Standard room, though a bit dated and musty, was great value for the price. The pool area was absolutely lovely—peaceful, clean, and perfect for relaxing after a day exploring. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always on hand with a smile and great local tips. The included breakfast was simple but fresh and satisfying each morning. What really sets this place apart is the location—just a short walk from the busy heart of Ubud, yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet, lush surroundings and experience the real Bali away from the heavy tourist traffic. Would absolutely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, authentic stay near Ubud.

It was in the city centre. The staff were helpful and friendly. Very close to a super little coffee shop and a gorgeous hidden gem warung.

Bathrooms were very clean but old and could be updated and this would make this hotel so much more comfortable.

Lovely little guest house tucked away in a quiet location. Very welcoming staff made our stay a real pleasure with old school Balinese hospitality. Pool was great after a long day navigating the chaos of Ubud. Breakfast was good too.

Bed cleaning needs to be improved

Bathroom and swimming pool, nice garden and rice fields.

The bed covers and sheet are not changed or it’s just very dirty and old. The towels are old and the color is disgusting.

I'd recommend

Very quite. Lovely grounds. Good value for money. Good location (except for access). Breakfast was basic but good. Staff friendly. Also a gluten free restaurant around the corner as well as a lovely cheap atmospheric restaurant on the walk to to hotel.

Room needed cups (it had a kettle & tea/coffee) but no cups. Also hand soap for bathroom sink. Access to the property was via walkways or scooter, like many places in Ubud as parking difficult. Note no face washers are provided at most hotels.

Great accommodation in Central Ubud.

We had a great stay in Ubud at Surawan. The rooms are spacious, huge bed, and a working AC. The furniture is a bit dated , but it didn't bother us . The bathroom is very big too. The room is good value for money. The location is great too. Very central to everything in Ubud. The breakfast is good and made fresh every day, but don't imagine lots of options. Overall, I do rate this accommodation very highly. It was a great start to our journey in Bali. We stayed here with our 4yo daughter and she loved it. We even tried the pool a few days.

Beautiful setting 😍 The staff couldn't have been nicer. I recommend making sure you're up early and by the pool to soak up the sights and sounds of Ubud waking from its slumber, with a lovely cafetiere of Bali coffee ❤️

Perfect for a central location that offers tranquillity, beauty, value, and comfort.

From the minute we booked to the minute we checked out the service was impeccable. They helped organise transfers to and from the airport with a local driver who was friendly and safe. We also organised laundry service through them which was completed quickly and with no issues at a great price. They can assist with booking many services, such as motor cycle hire and tours, even organising a massuse to come to your room - we didn't end up doing this but it's something we will look to do in the future. The room was clean and as advertised, with air con that kept us at a temperature we Scots are more used to! The location is perfectly situated for plenty of sightseeing within walking distance, and close to the main street with plenty of restaurants and bars while still being very quiet. The staff are kind and very friendly, we felt right at home here! The breakfast is simple but tasty with a good selection of choices and delicious fresh fruit included with all choices. The pool is clean and open great hours. We also enjoyed the sun loungers available. The garden/grounds are beautiful. There are a couple of tasty warungs not 2 minutes around the corner that offer delicious food at a great cost. The location really is unbeatable! For the price you pay, Surawan Bisma Ubud is unbeatable in value and there is no doubt in my opinion that you will have a great stay. It truly felt like a hidden oasis. We would definitely return and would recommend Surawan Bisma Ubud to anyone who wants to stay in the centre of Ubud but also looking for tranquility and comfort in a beautiful setting. I do wish we took some photos but we were too busy enjoying ourselves! Thank you again for the perfect stay. We will hopefully be back again.

The place is a little hard to find. It’s off the main road in Ubud and only accessible by walking.

Breakfast was great! I recommend the banana pancakes As I said in my sum up, the place is a little tricky to find but that’s not an issue!! Look for the mural of a tiger with a mermaid at the bar. It is on a small path passing some lovely local (very cheap) warungs along side some rice paddies. (Maybe a 4 min walk) Very quiet and away from the busy main road in Ubud. Cars cannot make it up the path however we did see several motorbikes sharing the small path. The hosts were very accommodating and always available. They even kept our bags for us on our last day as we planned a full day excursion with a private taxi driver. They have a fridge on site with beer and waters and juices so you don’t have to go searching anywhere. The room was private with a beautiful view. Hot water! Bed was comfortable and a true American king size. We did not dip into the pool but it was beautiful and looked quite relaxing. 10/10 recommend.

It was ok for the price

The Balinese style of the hotel is nice and the room was big. It was decent for the price.

The bathroom has no windows and the pillows were disgusting under the pillowcase (I'm always checking where I'm going to rest my head). Cars can't get in where the hotel is, so you have to walk at least 5 min with your luggage.

I don’t think the staff are well trained in housekeeping…sink, toilet are not scrubbed…build up in floor corners, cobwebs, etc. This is a common issue with many of the mid range guesthouses.

Excellent!

Everything was perfect for me. The bed was comfortable, the ac was quiet and efficient, I loved the pool and enjoyed the small stroll by the rice paddies. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. It was bittersweet for me to leave but would not hesitate to go back if I return to Ubud.

Amazing peaceful place in the heart of Ubud

I really recommend this place! It was the first spot on our Bali trip and it was wonderful. It is close to the city center but in a peaceful part, next to temple and rice filed. We wound peace, chill and kindness. Positive aspects: - location - peace - the staff was so kind, polite, always trying to help and simply nice - clean, no problem with everyday cleaning, changing towels - no bugs - amazing beautiful garden, pool Very good price for the value Would come back there :)

- Maybe toilets could be more renovated (door) but it is SE Asia so you have to adjust to different toilet standards so not an issue

perfect stay

the location is beautiful, hidden in a small street behind a rice field, but perfectly central. the staff were all super nice and helpful. the room was big with big and comfy bed, a table, quiet at night, clean bathroom with window. a nice extra is the pool surrounded by plants. we had a great stay at this beautiful place. perfect for getting some rest after busy travel days and activities. not to forget you get breakfast included, where you can choose between different pancake or toast variations. thank you guys 🙏🏼

Location is great, accommodations are clean and off the main road

Property was off the main road, we didn’t hear the hustle of the city or the main road; however it was a super short walk to get to some restaurants and drinks, as well as Grab rides. Pool was great!

There was some construction going on across the way - it wasn’t overly bothersome, but did create some extra noise.
