The location of the caravan site was a short drive or perfect for a walk into Knaresborough along the river but not for puschairs or people unsteady on their feet as its very up and down. The riverside is great for paddling and swimming and quite safe as shallow and no current as its in between two wiers. The cafe on the riverside and the pub on site are both lovely. Knaresborough is a beautiful toen with lots to do and see. The trains run into Harrogate and York both are just a short journey.
