Cold Christmas in the "snug"

Location

Arrived Xmas eve to a freezing cold caravan with 3 young children No heating on Not even on a timer Or left on low ? Hairs on sheets under quilt🤨 The smell was awful even tho we have brought our dog We are not nose blind ! Carpet and sofa smelt awful ! We hardly spent anytime in property Very disappointed 😞

Great accommodation, great site and fantastic location

Very home from home, great touch having Netflix available, central location for everywhere in North Yorkshire. Thank you Kelly we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the lido, the pub had a DJ on Saturday night and the Sunday lunch was delicious

Good simple base for a family holiday.

Easily accessible for local attractions. All the basics. Mostly comfortable, few extras which is nice.

Minor uncleanliness. Mass dirty/muck in two small areas (corner next to the fire and small bedroom). Bit unclean in the shower. But very clean throughout. Beds didn't feel secure. More like metal camp beds than actual beds. Wobbled and shook whenever you moved, but unsteady.

Fabulous stay in a beautiful location.

Everything was perfect at The Snug. The caravan was lovely in a perfect location. It was really clean. I’ve stayed in static caravans before so made sure to take towels, tea towels, washing up liquid, dish cloths etc but we didn’t need anything. Absolutely everything you could need is provided. 5 star!

Communication pre arrival was excellent. We were informed of key location, gate codes and Snug location from the entrance, which helped enormously. Our host Kelly has thought of everything. There is nothing you’ll need that isn’t in the ‘Snug’, including all major TV Subscriptions, games and puzzles for the kids and plenty of clean towels etc.

Beautiful holiday home! The snug is cosy and clean with everything needed for a relaxing stay. We had two children with us and they loved it here! We wish we could have stayed longer as it was an ideal location with lovely scenery. Plenty of books and games provided also. Netflix as well so we could relax with a film after a full day out and about. We hope to come back again next year as it was just perfect for us.

Clean and spacious. Beautiful riverside spot with nice cafe and pub on site too. Easy check in. Only stayed for 1 night but wasnt enough!

Perfect family break!

Clean and cosy with all the amenities we needed for our stay. We stayed with 2 adults and 3 children 12, 3 and 2 for two nights. we cooked all our own meals without any difficulty (full size gas cooker and fridge freezer). It was easy to find, and the perfect location for exploring Knaresborough. We visited Mother Shipton’s Cave on the Saturday and Fountains Abbey on the Sunday. We were fortunate to enjoy sunny weather so sat and ate outside both days! The little ones enjoyed scooting down to the river and visiting the play park on site.

Nice clean, cosy place. Lots of choice for streaming when the rain got heavy to keep the kids occupied for a bit

The sofa bed isnt comfortable at all. Wouldn't say it is even big enough 2 children as stated on the site. 8 and 4 year old complained was squished and could feel the metal bar/frame of the bed through the mattress

Lovely welcoming place for a short family getaway.

The host was great, welcoming and very thoughtful. Kelly gave me all the information I needed to get into the property. She stayed in contact with us checking to see if we were ok. Kelly left fresh milk and a bottle of wine for us on arrival. Kelly also left books and games etc my boys to keep them entertained. The property was clean and well kept. Everything we needed was provided. It had a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. There was a gas fire that we could use for heating and central heating. Kitchen facilities were excellent. Shower was great, hot water and full pressure. Plenty of clean towels provided. We were a family of four and enjoyed our two night stay here.

The mattresses were a little uncomfortable. My little one complained he could feel springs poking him so we used some extra blankets/towels to make it more comfortable.
