We didn’t mind the fact that the property is 3 miles outside Skipton we are cyclist and so it was a pleasant ride up. It was also easy to get Taxis from The and it was lovely being in such a quiet village and it be walking distance to the pub in the next village. The property is lovely inside it was very comfortable for as gentleman cyclist we all had a bedroom and we were very comfortable.
Everything was provided. The only thing was was that the loose seat broke it didn’t seem the most robust type and I dry my feet on the toilet seat every morning to apply cream to my legs and it just shattered which was a great shock. I notified Booking.com and Sykes cottages immediately.

The original features of the cottage.
Large stone fireplace and old piano in the detached stone building outside in the garden - a great space to relax and a very well insulated warm room.
Tranquil garden out the back with a little beck running adjacent creating a sense of calm with its sound.
Found it difficult to keep the fire lit in the wood burner as I couldn’t find the fire grate and it smothered itself.
We should have just asked about this but just didn’t get round to it so completely on us that.

Loved the cottage natural garden,the stream babbling
At the bottom of garden,lots of seating.
Relaxing,large and comfortable rooms
Very peaceful location.
