Spacious apartment, and beautiful building. Location was close to the dales and also plenty of places to eat/train station.
Entering the building was easy- but the sign on the noticeboard directing us to our apartment wasnt clear- it took us some time to find this. The WiFi connected but didn’t actually do anything. Some cracks in a wine glass and dishes, and the showers seemed to stay ‘hot’ no matter what we did. None of these were major issues as we weren’t in the apartment for long but a longer stay could’ve been more significant. Overall was a lovely stay and would definitely use again.

The second apartment we were given had comfortable beds.
The heating worked.
It was comfortable.
The first apartment we booked into was a BIG dissapointment
It was extremely cold.
When we contacted guest services we were instructed to adjust the thermostat.
There was NO thermostat .
We were moved to another apartment .
Neither of these apartments were what had been shown on my booking form
Very misleading .
The second apartment; although comfortable could be improved.
The kitchen floor was dirty and the bathroom needed a good clean.
The floor in the bathroom was really dirty.

Great flat. Lovely location by Settle Hydro, very easy walk into the centre of Settle. I was a bit worried because reviews were varied, but it was lovely and clean and the kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans and everything we needed. Tea bags, biscuits etc supplied to start us off, and soap, shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. We were in Scosthrop, which is on the third floor. I couldn't find the promised thermostat to control the heating but it came on in the mornings and evenings and the flat was lovely and warm when it was on. My key code hadn't been released an hour before we arrived, but I sent a message to Guestz and they sorted it straight away for me.
Wireless didn't work - the service they told us to connect to just didn't seem to exist. Wasn't a problem for us as we didn't need it, but might be for others. There was good mobile phone reception.
Couldn't find the thermostat they said was on a wall, which would have given us a bit of control over the heating. But the heating was fine as it was for us.

Location was perfect with scenic views, close to the center of Settle and ideal for tackling the 3 peaks. Great setting in an old converted mill, by a small hydro dam. Generally the apartment, served us for our needs over a long weekend.
Sadly the kitchen was a bit of a let down, some plates & cutlery were dirty and key items for self catering where missing, such as oven glove, only 5 chairs at dinning table when it sleeps 6. While these problems are perhaps trival, they didnt reflect the price we paid. Also the wifi didn't work!

Location.
Wi-Fi router didn’t work. Kitchen window broken. Difficult to understand why both issues weren’t resolved before.

The views and the building had some character. Beds comfy, linen clean and fresh. Sofa and dining area nice.
The windows needed a good clean, some parts unfinished and the shower wasn’t functional - leaked across the back and down the side. Skirting and lino floor rotten/mouldy. One of the window frames very rotten too.
We didn’t have a choice/ wasn’t informed of which apartment until check in - we got put on the top floor with no lift which wasn’t great after an ultra marathon :/
We were a party of 4 adults in a 3 bedroom and only having 1 bathroom was a push - wouldn’t be great if 6 adults were staying

Location was excellent for local walks into town and great for us to access the 3 peaks with a short journey in the car.
the check in was a little tricky as the pin code wasn't sent to us in the paperwork, however this was addressed quickly on live chat which was good. Found the number of door internally to get in an out was tricky with bags and they tended to slam shut so it could be noisy at times

The view
The decor
It was tired, needed a lick of paint here and there and
No lock in the bathroom, hard when sharing with 3 adults and 2 kids
It was full of cobwebs high and low like it hadn’t been cleaned properly for weeks and floors were dirty, dusty with large carpet stains..
Blind near the tv was broken
Plinth in the kitchen needed sorting
No scissors
Not enough toilet roll, had to go out and buy more

This is a self-catering style holiday rental. A riverside location on the edge of Settle, it is a pleasant and convenient location. The town centre is a short walk away, and there is an immediately-adjacent route to the Ribbleside pathway and, from there, into the Dales. The apartment has two adequate double bedrooms, wardrobe space and a well-equipped kitchen with a comfortable sitting/TV area.
I'm not a big fan of over-bath showers, particularly when there is only a plastic curtain and the shower is more a handheld unit set at a fairly low height over the bath. We also felt the list of rules we were given seemed a little excessive. Finally, there was some confusion over the accommodation, which I had booked for ourselves plus my son and his wife. I could not get an answer to my emails, so they ended up taking alternative accommodation, only to find there had been room for them with us all along. It left us with the impression that imposing restrictions and rules on 'guests' took precedence over tailoring their stay.

Fantastic location and very beautiful spot for accessing the 3 peaks. We had four apartments in total that were equipped with everything we needed, spotlessly clean and spacious.
The keys were easily accessed via lock box with clear instructions. The village is absolutely stunning.

Ideal location, beautiful views of the river and pen y gent.
The apartments you couldn't fault, lovely old building with lovely modern decor.
Beds comfortable. Never cooked in apartments so can't comment on appliances and utensils.
No staff on site so can't comment on staff but apartments were clean when we arrived and couldn't fault them.
Would definately return.
Thought quite a high deposit of £250 per apartment. I had booked 2 as a family getaway on one booking so £500 deposit a bit extreme and felt in their pre arrival comminication they were looking for reasons to withhold all or part of deposit which made us very cautious in everything we did.

Location good. Main room was pleasant and comfortable with a great view.
Response from residential Estates could have been quicker when we pointed out there were no baking trays/casserole dishes for the oven. Don't think the inventory was checked before our stay.
There was a carbon monoxide alarm - but it was in a drawer! This is dangerous (the kitchen has a gas hob).
On our last day the heating didn't come on in the evening, although lights and oven were working. Then spotted that the smart meter display said there was no credit left. Pressed the button for 'emergency credit' and the heating came back on.

Great location but that's where the positives stop.
The place wasn't clean, we had an issue with the heating on the first night that turned out to be that the thermostat was located in another apartment! fixtures are very dated and kitchen/utensils was as basic as basic gets.

Location
Beds uncomfortable and need new mattresses.. No connection for smart TV so couldn't watch Netflix etc. Not very clean, kitchen cupboard handles greasy and sticky. No light in stairwell so had to climb stone steps carrying bags in pitch dark. Manager informed but nothing done during our 2 night stay. Welcome pack for a property that can sleep 6 consisted of 3 tea bags, 4 decaf and 4 ordinary sachets of coffee and 3 biscoff biscuits. Expensive for what it is.
4.0 / 10.0
location good lovely old historic building, layout of property good
Lights not working on stairwell, with 3 flights of stone steps and no natural light, very dark and dangerous, reported on arrival and nothing done to fix them when we left 3 days later, left us anxious the whole time tht someone would trip and kill themselves, including small children . Communication from agency poor in that it took a phone call to get specific address rather than just the building name. Penny pinching, only one toilet roll, no washing up liquid, no cafetiere to make coffee. Checkout is 10 am way too early for holiday accommodation with children and as check in is 4pm no excuse for it. heating on timer went off 10pm making room cold,

location and scenery
The stone staircase that had literally no lighting. you could actually hold your hand in front of your face and you couldn’t see it. Dangerous!
