Stylish Canal-Side Retreat in Central Edinburgh

Dichtbij de nieuwe dorm van mijn kind dat daar ging studeren. Ook niet ver van het centrum. Dit is een heel appartementje voor jezelf (apart keukentje, douche, huiskamertje, slaapkamer). Schoon beddegoed en handdoeken. Prima bed.

Verder niet echt superschoon. Qua wat vettige deurgrepen, stof op planken, haren op de grond. En zoals n eerdere review goed aangaf: niet af laten schrikken door deur, hal, trappen (4 hoog) beneden.

Straight forward, no fuss check in - in a great quiet location a few minutes walk from haymarket station.

Stylish waren sicherlich die schönen Fotos im Internet. Aber wenn man dieses Haus betritt, wird man von einem Hauseingang und Treppenhaus empfangen, dass man eigentlich wieder laufen möchte: dunkel dreckig, schwach beleuchtet. Wenn man dann die Wohnung aufschließt, ist man doch erleichtert Hier ist es hell und gut eingerichtet.

Nachdem wir unsere Lebensmittel zum Kochen eingekauft hatten war es unmöglich den Topf oder auch die Pfanne zu benutzen. Der Topf war dreckig, schwarz verbrannt und die Pfanne hatte kaum noch Beschichtung. Der Vermieter meinte nur, dass der Topf nicht gut gereinigt wär und die Pfannen doch völlig okay wäre und versicherte mir den selbst erworbenen Topf zu ersetzen. Was bis jetzt leider noch nicht geschehen ist. Aus der Anzeige geht hervor, dass es einen Privatparkplatz gibt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war schlecht

This flat is in a tenement building on the top floor. There are 4 flights of stairs. There is NO private parking. There is on street parking which cost us 17 pounds for 4 hours. This is free at weekends so make sure you take this into account. We arrived at 1.30 to park. Its free after 5.30 also. So we got away with just one payment of 17 as it was a Friday afternoon. The flat is very old but the kitchen and bathroom shower are passable for staying a night. All of the furniture is older and survivable but not comfortable. it's not luxury and is reminiscent of a student flat or hostel. The area around the flat is excellent, and I booked looking at the external photos. They have not put a front view of the flat for you judge from so go on google maps if you want one. Its very quiet as its the top floor.
