This place is an absolute gem if you look for a quiet and cute stay outside of busy and touristy streets and yet close enough to the city centre. The host Jessica is the sweetest and very helpful. One of my favorite stays while travelling and definitely recommending :)

On a sunny morning, it was a real treat to sit in bed with the doors open. The location is great for Haymarket, the modern art museums and the delightful Water of Leith walkway. The bed was very comfortable. Bella - the dog - is lovely!
The fact that you don't have access to a toilet overnight is not made clear until after you've paid. There is a camping toilet (a bucket with a toilet seat on top) for emergencies. I don't mind this at all, but it wouldn't suit everyone. There is a bath, but you are told not to use it. I didn't receive a warm welcome but Jessica did apologise and was friendly and chatty for the rest of my stay.
