A well-equipped apartment with parking close to Bath but without the city centre hassle.

I wanted somewhere on the edge of Bath and close to The Rondo Theatre in Larkhall. The Sanctuary is about an 8 minute drive on well-lit roads and has allocated parking space.. In the morning there was a great view across the valley. and we could get to Marlborough and (on the final day) Basingstoke without going through the town.. A very clean and well-designed apartment and comfortable bed. . Loved the coconut-scented shower gel.

Very little really - the steel staircase down to the apartments was OK even in the wet but might have presented a problem if you have mobility issues. The "Trossachs Lodge" house sign that indicated the allocated parking has had a name change - reading "Abbey Rectory" on one side and blank on the other. The shape of the sign board is very distinctive so there no problem identifying it.

Good facilities and location

There was a man walking up and down, not sure who he was. He might have been a maintenance guy or the owner. If the owner, it would have been nice if he introduced himself. Made us feel a bit awkward.

Lovely stay but no window in bedroom

Lovely furnishings, spacious and well equipped. More than big enough for two adults and a child. My son (10) slept comfortably on the sofa bed. The king size bed was also comfortable. Off street parking very close by. Very clean.

The bedroom had no window ergo no fire escape or ventilation. It was very hot at night despite the heating being off but there was no way of cooling the room down. I would question the legality of this arrangement.

Disappointed

It had everything you needed for a short stay.

The accommodation was located at the back of owners property which meant going down the side of the house and round the back to the accommodation, so not very private for both, the bed settee was very uncomfortable, disappointed and left a day earlier then we paid for.

Good but needs more details

Apartment was clean, had all the things we needed for our stay. Close enough to the city centre whilst being far enough out to be quiet.

Was not aware that apartment was below a house and we had to walk through the owners garden to get to the apartment where there wasn't much lighting. Whereas this didn't necessarily pose a problem, it would have been nice to be aware that it was in a garden with the owners upstairs in the house. Did have an issue with the key code when we got there and it was around 10 minutes to get a response from the owners but was sorted.

Good location in nice neighbourhood.Well appointed flat, spotless.Nice people.

Access to outside space/ pool area by third parties/ family was not ideal.(Fishbowl effect which felt intrusive).Meant we had to have curtains/ nets drawn .Perhaps something proprietor should consider in future.Cost of stay compared to a nice hotel would be a factor in future.

The only thing that would've been the icing on the cake would've been jumping in that pool as it was such a hot weekend.....oh and meeting the dog, we met the beautiful cat last night

Lovely apartment in a great location for visiting Bath

Excellent location. Lovely views. Well appointed apartment, with almost everything one could want for a short stay.

Television instructions were very vague and we were unable to get the television to work. Some noise from the water pipe system.

Brilliant stay - would love to return another time

Very clean, quiet location, all very well decorated and kitted out. Comfortable bed and really great shower. Underfloor heating. Nice position overlooking valley. Quite private.

Stylish, clean, warm, great location and great for the dogs too!

Great little stylish one bed within easy reach of the Centre centre - just a lovely walk along the canal and you’re in the thick of it.

Wonderful stay

The property was immaculate, every detail thought out. It was very clean and bed was comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just a short drive to the city

It wasn’t a problem for us but for those less mobile the stairs could be an issue
