Vivaldi Center City

We loved the location, we only used the metro to get to the City of Arts & Sciences, otherwise everything reachable by foot: city center, city parks, shops, cafes, amazing restaurants that are in the more outer part. Also, not too many people or cars pass this street. The apartment had a lot of space, we comfortably fit as a family of four. The AC cooled down the apartment easily even on the day when it was 38C. Also, the apartment looked great I really liked the renovated modern style in the old building and also had everything that we needed for our stay.

The communication around the checkin was really off, I was receiving one message daily asking about our arrival time roughly one week before arrival, sometimes in Spanish, sometimes in English to which I always answered the same, but they wanted to make me arrive later than what was promised and accepted already. Also I did not get a reply to my questions, so when I started to complain more seriously I got a person with good communication skills and everything got sorted, we got our original check in time, and also got my answers (e.g. about getting a cot for the baby), so at the end after the arrival everything was perfect. I just wish we could have solved this communication issue within a day, but it was impossible to call the agency who handles the apartment. I have never had a similar experience to this so far (but after check in you get a dedicated contact person on WhatsApp, which makes it easier for the stay). On the bright side, the apartment itself was great, the only minor thing to keep in mind that the street trash cans are in front of the building, so when they collect the trash it can be a bit loud (collection was roughly twice a day, around 5AM-ish and 11PM-ish).

Spacious. Bright. Nice kitchen. Beds comfy. Private.

No smoke alarms. No fire extinguisher. Nasty front door, lobby, dangerous dark stairs with ceramic wall tile falling off. Building exit door requires key to exit which is a violation of basic fire safety.
