Not the most hygenic place ever

Outside of the building looked nice. Open Mind property helpdesk responds fast and is helpful.

Glasses in the cabinets were still dirty. Bed did not smell fresh (at all).

Location is close the seafront. Fine for a short stay.

Room is small to accommodate 4 people furnitures are simple and poor quality especially the beds are not comfortable. Very steep stairs and with the luggage we had to carry them up 3 stairs.

The check in and confirmation process was much more convoluted than normal Booking.com experiences. Extra forms to fill in etc which was confusing and not very convenient. Saying this, the management company was responsive and helpful.

The kitchen was well equipped, mattresses were comfortable. When mentioning the issues below after night one, the property management were supportive & moved me flats. The management were polite. It was better, but still tired and overpriced but not grubby at least. Good location.

The flat smelt of stale smoke on entering. The flat was more than tired with multiple marks on the walls throughout and dubious stains on headboards of the marks on the carpet. One of bed was really wobbly. The bathroom smelt heavily of damp, likely due to the lack of ventilation and was cleaned to surface level only. Felt like faulty towers. The stay for my birthday coincided with pride weekend so the price of the accommodation with hiked up to £320 for two nights. Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the property. Especially as the second flat I was moved to, which according to the management company “was much better quality”, I’ve since seen for from £99 a night. I asked for some compensation (not a full refund) which I don’t think was unreasonable but was refused due to being moved flats - again which doesn’t make sense as was only the higher price because of pride and not a reflection on quality. I raised to booking.com but they did nothing other than forward my complaint. I only booked the property as a birthday treat, wish I’d just stayed on my mums sofa who lives around the corner! I think I have been fair by mentioning some things that were good but overall would not recommend.
