Property in a great location, but no parking and accommodation is tired in need of a refurb.

NO PARKING - had to pay in a car park. Absolutely no way of contacting anyone about this issue at the property, the telephone number supplied didn’t exist, I emailed both via the booking by replying to an email sent to me, and to Booking.com, which gave an automated email to say contact the owner, but no way of contacting them !

There is little to like. The listing is misleading and the property basic. Only good thing was 10min walk to Gunwharf Quay.

We rented 2 units. They were not cleaned ready for checkin despite communication leading up to the stay. All kitchen items plates, glasses, cutlery were dirty and needed to be washed. The shower bath didn’t drain when showering. There is so much during our stay that I can’t list it all. We chose to continue with our 4 night stay due to commitments and lack of time to find alternate accomm. I provided a list of feedback and still have not received a response.

Location was excellent bonus points for there being a Chinese takeaway down the road.

The bathroom was a little bit mouldy around the bath so we avoided using it, neighbours were arguing outside early in the morning.

Overall (although it is a bit dated) it was a comfortable appartment in a good location.

The property was in a great location for what we required. It was a very short walk to Gunwharf Quays

Having to find street parking was difficult. We had to park several streets away and then drag our luggage over uneven ground to the appartment. Water pressure in the shower was poor and the shower head was restricted with calcification. The water issue should easily be rectified.

We enjoyed our stay but would have been better if the sofas were comfortable for sitting on.

The location was great. The bedrooms comfortable. The host was very helpful.

There was a musty smell as you entered the property and the bathroom floor needs addressing. The sofas are very uncomfortable and could do with being replaced. Also the towels are marked.

Great location, approx 15 minute walk to Gunwharf. Very detailed instructions on how to find and enter property. Quiet residential location. Nice having lounge/dining room.

Property wasn’t as clean as we expected, bathroom had stained concrete floor, radiator coated in dust.

We paid extra for early check-in - when we arrived, the flat had not been cleaned. The host said they would refund the early check-in fee, which they have not. Once cleaned, the flat was as expected and in a good location.

We felt at home in the apartment and appreciated being in such a good location.

In regard to the communal entrance, door needed quite a hefty push to open. Also, curtain rail in main bedroom definitely needs to be more securely fixed to stop the rail from detaching etc. Luckily our friend who's a fair bit taller than my wife and I, managed to place the rail back up.

Good sized rooms. Clean and tidy, comfy.

Good location close to Gunwharf shops, restaurants and bars. The apartment was very clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Had decent pillows and bedding was ok. A very good sized fridge/freezer. And everything supplied was really good, even down to towels per person. On the whole, facilities where very good.

Can be noisy due to traffic, but for us, it’s just not what we would be used to. We just closed the windows of a night time.

Pole position! Perfect for us and our needs. Very Cosy. Accessible for us. We will definitely stay here again.

My only slight criticism would be the lack of accessible plug sockets aw they were often behind beds or other furniture. Apart from that, all perfect!

A home from home stay in Historical Portsmouth !!!⚓⛵

The apartment had everything we needed, it was comfortable and quiet. The location was ideal, well within walking distance of the historical dockyards and a multitude of shops, restaurants and bars.

A couple of furniture item's were broken and really need maintenance and the lock on the backdoor, although working was a bit fragile. However non of this really spoilt our visit and we would definitely stay here again.

I would not stay here again, you get why you pay for!

The location is superb for sight seeing around Portsmouth The shower was absolutely fabulous with superb water pressure.

The property is extremely dated and could do with an interior renovation. There were several dirty areas that clearly have NOT been cleaned in months, possibly years which is unacceptable (see pics) If you pay to stay somewhere, the very least the landlord can do is ensure it is clean and presentable. As I walked in the front door, the first thing I noticed was a nasty stale smell and testament to this is the fact that there were air freshener plugs in every room!! I felt dirty laying in the bed and wondered how clean the bedding really was judging by the rest of the apartment. The sofa is dark in colour so shows up dirt, there were crumbs on the sofa upon arrival!
