Great location, great space but leak needs fixing

The location is outstanding, really close to the seafront and the shops and restaurants of Southsea. It allowed a to make the most of a very short stay. The size of the flat is also amazing, really spacious, one huge double, and 2 smaller doubles. The living dining room is also really spacious and there are high ceilings throughout. The host communication and keys etc is all really smooth.

This is a hard to write, I rebooked this as we visited about 18mths ago and enjoyed our stay so was really pleased when the flat was available this time. When we were on our way the host mentioned there was a leak in the living room ceiling. I imagined this would be small. When we arrived it was a huge leak above the door into the living room. There was a towel and basin on the floor collecting drips. The ceiling was discoloured and damaged and the flat smelled bad as a result. At 8pm the leak turned into a full on downpour, and the same at 8am the next morning. It really wasn't appropriate for the flat to be let out without this being fixed. And definitely not at full price. The furniture could also do with an upgrade the middle bed is very soft and there is a chair in the living room that isn't really sprung any more. I really hope this leak can be fixed, I think it needs landlord intervention but until it's repaired we wouldn't return.

Great value and comfortable accommodation in a quiet yet convenient location. Very caring host 😊

We loved the personal touches such as books and games to make it feel welcoming and homely. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean with plenty of hot water for 6 guests. We only booked for one night but wished we had been there for a few more days. Our host was very helpful, available and responsive during the booking process. We would definitely recommend this accommodation for those wanting a homely (rather than bland, corporate) place to stay.

Perfect place to stay in Southsea

This was the perfect place to stay in Southsea in close proximity to the seafront, local bars and restaurants. Asaph's communication was spot on which made check-in a breeze. The apartment is clean and homely- the bedding is comfortable and a night's stay was favourably priced, comparatively very cheap for the area. I was on a short stay with the friends but would love to return and spend more time there, even with the family.. I aim to book again and would do so without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Stayed one night only, I had low expectations and wasn't disappointed.

Location to sea front is excellent. The rooms are spacious and the property was clean. The host provided good and timely instructions.

The property could do with modernising. The decor is dated and facilities are functional. The property smelled musty. The kitchen is small and so the tumble dryer was in the main bedroom in full view along with other various items which made the room feel like a storage room. Also some washing had been left drying on an airer in another. The entrance and frontage to property was not very appealing and could do with some TLC. The bed linen and towels are of low quality. I thought the property was overpriced but we were desperate and it was the only one available.

Spacious and very clean. Great communication from the host including a welcome message and pictures prior to arrival. Kitchen well appointed, Fridge freezer and clear instructions on the flat and local area in a folder.

Nothing really. Everything was as we expected. There are quite a few stairs to get to the flat (2 flights inside and a few steps outside), but these are mentioned in the description before booking. No problem for the average person, but just keep in mind.

Apartment was functional and clean. Good communcations from host, from parking information to exiting the property. Everything was clear and good information provided. Close to the seafront and beach.

Relaxing, comfortable and homely, I will be back!

I booked very last minute, late the night before in fact! Straight away Asaph communicated everything I needed to know, in so much detail I felt completely prepared and entirely looked after. The apartment is so lovely, amazing high ceilings and so spacious. A lovely quiet location, we slept really well - my son said his bed was the comfiest he’d every slept on!! Close to the seafront but as I say, so quiet, I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. A total home-from-home, I will absolutely be returning.

Perfect accommodation

This was a very lovely and bright apartment. It had a 'home away from home' feel about it. It was clean with lots of amenities. The host was very helpful and bent over backwards to accommodate our special request. I would love to be able to stay there again, for a bit longer next time.

Loved the character of the house, the peaceful, Victorian street location, the tasteful interior decor, the spaciousness and the impressive collection of books.

Parking is at a premium in this neighbourhood, but this was carefully explained by the host and all options were clearly explained.
