There was no hot water. We arrived later in the evening and the front desk alerted us. We were too tired to switch to a different hotel. One elevator was down and we were on the 4th floor. The whole floor had a horrible musty smell. There were handprints all over the doors leading to our room. The carpet in the hall looked as it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Our room smelled as there had been a dog in there prior. The tile in the bathroom was cracked and there were stains in the basin of the tub. Sure enough, there was zero hot water. It was freezing cold. I had to walk to the front desk to let them know the state of our room because the room phone had been disconnected. I wish I was making all of this up but instead it’s true. The front desk told us to ask for a refund through Hotels.com.

The whole hotel has a weird smell that's trying to be masked with a cheap fragrance. The rooms are dirty, and tired. I don't usually leave negative reviews but when I had to take a cold shower because there was no hot water it was the last straw.

Hotel seemed very clean but floors in my room was sticky. They moved me to another room but after they cleaned that floor was sticky as well. You could see foot prints where they walked. Room smelled bad. I think smell came from whatever they mopped floor with. Not sure would stay here again.

The lady at the front desk was awesome! Very helpful and switched me rooms with no hassle. Unfortunately i had to change rooms due to a terrible smell and ended up in a room with a smell but tolerable. My 2 friends stayed there as well and there rooms were super clean smelling and great. So overall it really wasnt bad i just had a funky smelling room

One strange thing about the room that was a bit off. There were painters tape labels all over the walls, countertops, and doors. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

On 20th Sep morning, the receptionist said that one invoice would be switched to Isao Hashimoto from Ueno Nobuhiro. However, we got double charges. Now both I and Isao Hashimoto are charged the same amount for stays. Please pay me back for the Isao Hashimo’s stay. I’ve already asked my credit company to solve this case. Thank you.

Looked as if the floor was undergoing renovations, with blue painters' tape stuck in multiple places. Lighting in the room was poor, with no light at or close to the desk. Also seemed as if the room was missing some furniture; only one chair in the room, so nowhere to sit except the bed.

I can definitely tell this property is under new management. Renovations are beautifully done. It’s super clean and staff very friendly. I got in late and once in my room the front desk young lady (Kelli) texted me to check if I needed anything else, that was nice and appreciated. Nice fridge and microwave in the room. I didn’t get a chance to use the gym. Coffee was complementary in the hotel lobby. The fee charged for my room was also super competitive compared to other properties in the same area. Definitely recommend this Holiday Inn Express Webster location.

No lights in the room except for 1 lamp in each room. Staff informed us that the breakfast was made to order, actually the same food that you get free at other hotels, they charged $12.00 each.

While this property appeared clean, the laminate floors on the room felt very slick, almost greasy. Not sure if it was the cleaning product used on them. Positives were the easy check in process and front desk staff and the delicious breakfast. Within walking distance to restaurants and retail.
