The property looks much better in Expedia photos than it feels in person. Rooms have been renovated but lack basic amenities for comfort. As someone who travels frequently for work, the checkout experience was very disappointing. The receptionist was curt and confrontational about their cash-only policy for extras under 50 euros. This wasn't mentioned at check-in / booking and makes very little sense for Expedia customers who may have pre-paid their room. Having traveled through multiple countries, I didn't have cash available, and while this initially seemed to be a major problem, the charge was eventually processed by card after the receptionist lectured me about traveling without cash. The whole situation felt unnecessarily confrontational and put a dampener on my last day. I don't usually write reviews since most places offer great service with helpful staff. For a relaxing Alpine experience, I'd suggest looking elsewhere until they provide their front line staff with some better training. The great thing about the alps is you're not short of choice and the majority of places have helpful friendly staff.

The reception area, restaurant and wellness spa were very nice. Unfortunately the room was sloppy and both of us got allergic reactions during the night, probably due to the carpet. And there was no balcony, even though it was specified in the confirmation.

Great position, beautiful views and close to the ski lifts and ski shop. Room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Good boot and ski room. Booked a room with balcony on Expedia but did not get a balcony on arrival. Breakfast was very good. Evening meal had 5 very small courses of very fancy food (suckling pig, fruit mirror, cep in panna cotta etc) OK if you like that sort of thing but not particularly child friendly. Children's choice very limited.Main had choice of meat, fish or vegetarian but meat was often served very very rare. Gala dinner took nearly 2 hours to get to the main course, again difficult with children. Charged 3 euros for carafe of tap water each evening which I was not impressed about.

The view from this hotel over the mountains in the early morning hours is extraordinary and worth a stay. There’s plenty of beautiful nature to experience in the surrounding areas. We were there in the summer period. The hotel itself was clean, the room was good with comfy beds.

We drop by Overgurgl before moving to Switzerland. We throughly enjoyed the experience in Oeztal. From Soelden we drove lots of hair pin curves, they we arrived the hotel at the foot of Hohe Mut Bahn. There were ample parking space. We checked in, left the luggage and went to the top of Hohe Mut with lift. The hotel gave us free ticket for the Hohe Mut Bahn as well as Gislachkogelbahn. They were wonderful.

Very nice hotel, comfortable spacious room with amazing views. Good location for skiers, 3-5min to the chairlift. Exellent staff, wonderfull food. Need to improve the cosmetic amenities in the room, lack of those in the spa area.
