This hotel does not deserve its rating. We had no hot water 2 days running. One restaurant was closed and the other fully booked so that we could not have dinner there, despite trying to reserve the previous day. The decoration needs a refresh (see photos of dining room and bar) and the corridor carpets are stained (see photo). The beach was over-crowded. Most of the staff were uncharming. The a/c was feeble. We were told to ask for a partial refund through Expedia but this was then refused. Try the Villa Balbi nearby. It is infinitely better.

Hotel is in an excellent location on the beach. I knew that the parking was 35 Euro's a night but didn’t know the beach chairs and umbrellas were 40 Euro’s a day each as not pre advised like the parking is on your website. Good breakfast and lovely dinner.

The property is very nice and clean, with many amenities, right on the beach. The included breakfast was excellent, with made-to-order selections. The room was large and nicely decorated. However the AC did not cool the room adequately and we could not sleep because of the heat. The staff did nothing to correct the issue. There was no mention of having maintenance look into the problem, so I am assuming this is the norm. I asked other guests about their room temps and most said it was not as cool as they would have liked, but was livable. The only compensation we got was not being charged for the parking. I would not stay there again because of the AC. It was pretty miserable. If AC was not an issue, I would highly recommend the hotel.

Great location , right on the beach. Good service with proactive staff. Rooms are very nice , comfortable and clean. Facilites are new so it is very comfortable. I like the breakfast included (eggs, fresh fruit , pastries and of course cheese and prosciuto. Close to lot is shopping and restaurants. You have to try at least once the dining at the private beach….it is $$$ but worth and excelent taste…it is a must. The beach is quiet and they offer umbrellas and seats at a fee (I didn’t like that but all the hotels charge for it). The view is excellent. I would come back for sure!!

The air conditioners did not work because they do not change their filters. Suffered through the first night, changed rooms and the same problem in the second room. Had a maintenance man come to change the filter that was filled with dust. Spoke with other guests and they also had miserable nights. The shower seals to keep the water in we’re not secure and water got all over the floor…. A huge mess. David the waiter was the most attentive and help staff member there…. The others not so much, they were probably tired of the complaints about the air conditioning in the rooms….. meanwhile the lobby where they work was nice and cold. So disappointed and they didn’t offer to comp anything.

For the cost of a nights stay - there should have been no charge to use the beach. Since folks are turned off by teh fee - they are not going to the beach more then once on weeks stay and not spending money on lunch/dinner otherwise. Enjoyed the stay.

We have mixed reviews of our stay. The hotel is located in a prime spot on the Bay. I paid extra to get a room directly on the Bay. The view was wonderful. Our room was clean and our attendant ensured we were satisfied. We used the spa services and the attendants in the spa were amazing!!! I definitely recommend their spa services. The disappointment came with the check-in staff as they were not helpful or really friendly. On the second day, we were not able to use the ocean as the city was holding an all day event in the water. When I complained, the hotel staff said sorry but nothing changed. I even paid extra for this hotel to be right on the water and then was not able to use it on the full day we had. No taxi services were available and the hotel transport service was not available until 8 am; we needed to leave earlier than 8. We ended up walking with our suitcases back to the train station. For the price of the hotel, I expect better service.
