Great location in an awesome town. AC is not sufficient.

Great location. We returned after having stayed here a few years ago.

The AC is definitely not sufficient for cooling. I recall this during our first visit as well. Valet was not careful parking our vehicle and had slight damage.

Old-fashioned charm in a wonderful location.

Fantastic setting, lovely pool, gardens and breakfast. Good value as we had economy rooms.

Our rooms were not great, bathrooms a bit narrow and stuffy, but happy with them as they enabled as to access the hotel at a good price.

Overall a lovely experience and of which I will thoroughly recommend.

The breakfast was superb! A wonderful array of cuisine to suit all tastes which was beautifully presented. A resident chef cooking eggs to individual requirements was a bonus. I had a delicious omelette. I was also impressed to see white linen tablecloths and the use of silver tea and coffee pots which transported me to a bye-gone era. The breakfast room was very well- appointed and the staff were polite and extremely attentive.

Reception staff not very friendly . He couldn’t find my booking but when he eventually did after 20 mins , no apology . Communication by email poor . Room very small .

Great hotel with outdoor pool and perfect location

Great location between both beaches. Lovely restaurant/courtyard with good food. Spa and indoor pool small but outdoor seawater pool is a very good size and surrounded by beautiful gardens. Good parking off site. Would definitely use this hotel again.

A well maintained and well run hotel in a picturesque Italian seaside resort.

Friendly attentive staff, location, great breakfast.

That’s tough one. If there was a down side, it is that the showers (in the rooms we booked) were only 80cm wide. I would imagine that heavier set individuals would fine this very inconvenient.

Lovely relaxing stay in a well appointed hotel in a great location.

Hotel is centrally located in Sestri Levanti, a few steps from the Bay of Silence, and a very short walk to all the bars and restaurants, as well as the main beaches. It had bags of old world charm, breakfast was superb, with everything on offer, whatever your dietary preferences. Staff were friendly and helpful, We particularly liked the salt water pool, which had spa bath corners to help ease tired muscles!

We were in an economy room, which was OK for our 3 night stay, but any longer would have needed a bigger room. We arrived on a Sunday, and there was a birthday party on in the evening (apparently the hotel has lot of weekend functions), which did not finish until near enough midnight. Having said that, we thought the DJ was great, pulling out 80's classics, so we were entertained, if not able to sleep! :-)

Our room was changed last minute and while someone tried to call me to advise me, they could have messaged us ahead of time. the room offered instead was unsuitable for 4 of us so we left.

Sestri Levante was a great location for our holiday.

The breakfast was disappointing not enough fresh ingredients. The location of the hotel was very good, near the beach and the town, a lovely quiet area of Sestri Levante.

We had a very small room, but that was because we had asked for a sea view which was lovely. Dinner @ Hotel had a rather old fashioned ambience.

WiFi did not not work in my room (but did work in the hotel’s common areas). Bathroom shower needs to be cleaned better. The room was cold, and I couldn’t find a heater. My breakfast (room service) was not what I ordered.

Great locale & food, even if the room was small.

The location is excellent.

Our double room was tiny but the patio mitigated. Buffet breakfast was good. The pool/bar area is appealing and relaxing. Would return.

Fiine for a one-night stopover.

The location was lovely and hotel parking was a big plus. Staff very friendly. Very comfortable bed. The local wine at dinner was excellent.

The room was small and the furnishings in the rooms and public spaces were rather tired, expected better for the price we paid. The food at dinner in the restaurant was not very warm, although the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms tasted good. The sea bass was well cooked in a salt crust but it was only served with a small amount of cold cooked red pepper.

A top-notch stay in a delightful hotel with a genuine Italian feel

The Due Mari is an excellent hotel in an ideal location between the two bays of Sestri Levante (a town we really liked!). The staff were exceptionally helpful at all times, not least in helping us rearrange rooms following a minor disruption in our plans. The sea-water pool was a great boon, and the sea - the beautiful Baia del Silenzio - is pretty much on the doorstep. The hotel is generous in giving guests towels for both sea and pool on request. Breakfast was also generous. Our first room was compact and comfortable, with a well-equipped bathroom. The air conditioning unit in the room was a little elderly, but the ceiling fan was very useful. The room was kept spotless by very efficient and pleasant staff. The property itself is spread over several buildings and courtyards and is fascinating to discover in its own right. The buildings and furnishings are very characterful - this is not a standardised place at all. We moved, with the hotel's help, to an apartment associated with the hotel, just across the road, and found it very commodious and comfortable. The staff again went out of their way to help us arrange transport to the station at the end of our stay - and always had a smile for clients.

Great location with easy walking to the shops, restaurants and beach. Wonderful breakfast included. Friendly staff - especially helpful at the front desk.

The entrance is on a very narrow street (what we would call an alley in the United States). Hard to find, especially at night. Did not see any signage. GPS had us going in circles.

poor service; arrogant management.

The property is really pretty and in a good location.

The service is terrible for solo females. I arrived and the room allocated had ceilings so small I couldn’t stand up in it; and broken air conditioning. I asked to swap, and was moved to a very small room; albeit with higher ceilings. On exit; I then was asked to pay full price for my stay - they gave 60 euros off a 330 euro bill in the end. They did offer a better room - the day after my complaint when I was at a wedding and couldn’t move my stuff..I couldn’t get a cappucino for breakfast; as they were waiting for a man to arrive and order for me. I had to go down the street. Overall, horrible and I wish I had never heard of the hotel. if you are Italian; or in a couple it would be a wonderful stay.

We moved to a 2nd room on the corner. A little noisy but view (through small street) on the beach. Location is the best in this city. The excellent English speaking lady at reception was extremely friendly and understanding when we asked for an other room
