#1 I was led to believe it would be easy to drop luggage off and have someone from hotel to pick up the car - it was a nightmare finding a place to double park to drop luggage off. I circled at least 8 times and there were so many busses on both sides and others doubled parked so no room for me. Every time I tried a bus or truck would come barreling behind me with a bus next to me. I finally double parked on other side to try to get help from hotel and a bus driver was so angry because I accidentally blocked his turnout. So - I circled more. Then at other times it looked easy but I had a horrible horrible experience and first impressions can not be changed easily. #2 I hated my room looking over the bus stop - Yes, I could hear the busses too. I felt because I was a hotels.com user - I was given that room instead of one that was not on top of the busses. #3 Guests should be told you can NOT regulate heat in the room at check-in. It took me 2 visits to desk to understand that because the control in the room looked like I should be able to with the plus/minus on it. It was 26.2 C degrees in room and I thought I could turn down the control. I was told to open window - I couldn't do that because the noise from the busses and traffic was terrible. This hotel really ruined my trip to Trieste. I always try to use smaller, more boutique hotels and not large chains and this was a bad mistake.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, everything was spotless and breakfast was good but I found the decor very cold and unwelcoming , nowhere to sit in comfort with a coffee or read a book, for this reason only I wouldn’t return.

Love the breakfast. Plenty to choose from and an option for Gluten Free which was great. Would have been nice to know the Coffee was extra $ prior to ordering it, but othrewise it was great. The staff were fantastic. The checkin with Alicia was perfect - she was so welcoming and friendly and helpful. We were there the night it flooded and David (?) the gentlemen on that night was stressed but handled it very well. Would definitely recommend this hotel in Trieste.

The customer service exceeded all the expectations. Breakfast was amazing. Valet parking so easy. The rooms are so well appoimted, comfy and cozy. Again the hospitality is excellent!

Nothing short of amazing. From the minute David checked me in, the experience began. He was welcoming, patient, and memorable in his concern. Then I went up to the room. It was beautiful- the decor, the lighting, and openness. The attention to detail and the amenities, including a robe and slippers. The breakfast too exceeded expectations. Smoked salmon, prepared meats, beautiful cakes and torts, and fruit, as well as the standard yogurt, cheese, bacon and eggs, etc. The breakfast room staff brought the coffees and the refills to the table with a smile. The location of the hotel was perfect. A five or ten minute walk directly from the train station, set in the heart of the historic district. I chose this hotel because of the wonderful reviews. So glad I read them and took them to heart.

The staff were super friendly and attentive. The receptionist spotted that it was my birthday from my passport and sent a welcome gift to the room. The hotel has a seafront location but is in very close proximity to the train station, restaurants and attractions. Would definitely stay there again if I visit Trieste in the future.

Everything was wonderful except the pillows (very flat). Just a short 9 min walk from the train station was convenient. Staff was incredible. Front desk, breakfast and housekerping. I was impressed. We had a bucket list trip to Italy and this hotel was the best place, and really made our trip memorable and terrific! We especially loved Erika, who we called because we were lost in our car’s navigation trying to find it. Erika calmed us down and said on the phone “you’re ok, you’re close, and I’m going to stay on the phone with you until you get here” and then she quickly helped us understand why the valet service was the best route, much better than trying to find a parking spot on those busy streets! She also helped us reconfigure our room, because we had reserved it wrong, and needed an extra bed. We couldn’t have been more high maintenance, and Erika (and the housekeeping staff) could not have been more kind, accommodating and friendly. Really helpful to panicky tourists just trying to squeeze every minute into a short but meaningful vacation. She really is the superstar of the place, although the room was amazing, and the breakfast buffet deserves 10 stars. Terrific place!

My family and I stayed here because we were taking a cruise out of Trieste. The hotel was clean and very modern (I’m guessing recently updated). The staff were very friendly and several eateries are within walking distance. The cruise terminal is also within walking distance from the hotel so no need for a cab. It’s a short ride from the Trieste airport maybe 20/25 minutes at the cost at the time was about $85 Euros.

What a gem! This contemporary boutique type hotel was perfect for our stay before our cruise. We loved our stay, and felt very pampered. The included breakfast was delicious and the location was close to restaurants & shops. Highly recommend.
