Good!

The hotel is located in the Centre of Triest. During our arrival, we faced a huge problem with temporary parking space. (All space was blocked with a bus form a sports team) The person, responsible for the language at arrival was absolutely perfect in negotiating with the police to avoid any ticket! - THANKS!

Stunning building in a perfect location, but room comfort and quality didn’t justify the price.

liked: Exceptional central location in Trieste; magnificent historic palazzo with a beautiful façade and impressive, spacious interiors.

Décor feels inconsistent and not up to Hilton style; our room wasn’t suitable for three adults; bed and pillows were uncomfortable; the room was dark and slightly humid; overall poor value for the rate.

Nice rooms and location, parking service could improve.

Clean and comfy rooms with everything you should expect in a Hilton Hotel. We got an upgrade to a bigger room, but no windows. The location of the hotel is perfect to visit downtown Trieste. The people at the front desk were very friendly.

The parking lot is a bit far from the hotel, and no one assisted us with our luggage. It wasn’t a problem for us, but I can imagine that older guests might need some help.

The room was very clean and contemporary, the staff were very helpful, everything was fair, breakfast served also standard

The only thing I dislike as I was driving there, no parking provided for free, you would need to pay, further you would need to park quite far from the building (8-10 minutes walk)

Terrible breakfast service- not attentive, breakfast very very poor. For this price should be at least one a la carte dish to choose from. Everyone from the staff seemed not to care at all about anything. Housekeeping terrible

the only real negative was the quality of breakfast provided. It fell short of expectations. Unbelievably, they repeatedly provided sub standard fried eggs, and when i asked for a poached egg instead I was advised that this was extra & I had to pay for such, on top of my bill.!!!

Room was badly designed. Made smaller by partition with TV. Sofa in 'second room' was useless with no reason to want to sit in here. (no TV) Restaurant for evening meal was poor. Very small choice and weird offerings.

Great hotel, but with a few unexpected glitches

The hotel is very nice and located in the heart of trieste. The rooms are spacious and the overall vibe is very sophisticated. Staff is helpful and the warm cookie at the check-in is a nice personal touch.

The breakfast is not at the expected level for this sort of hotel. The offer is slightly above basic and the selection lacks a more refined touch. Cold cuts, scrambled eggs and pastry get boring pretty fast if you spend more than one night at the hotel. Even though you can order a few different types of eggs (which is not clearly mentioned anywhere), the more interesting options like Eggs Benedict are charged separately!? The hotel has a SPA, but it is charged separately too and you can book it by hour which is an unnecessary hassle for this sort of accommodation and makes the overall experience a little less cool. The parking is in a garage nearby, but not so easy to reach and walk to because of the very steep and narrow street leading towards it. The hotel provides valet service so if you are not a skilled driver this might be a better option.

Good Choice for Center Trieste

Located in the center of town, close to everything - seafront, restaurants, outdoor cafes, shops. Room is correctly described as 4-Star.

Rooms not fully soundproofed, and sliding-door for bathroom encourages slamming of door at all hours from thoughtless guests. All hotels need to be more proactive about defending their guests’ right to peace and quiet.

This is a fabulous hotel in a fabulous city we will be back.

I loved the architecture outside and inside, the entrance and reception area is exquisite and takes your breath away. Our room was more the generous in size we absolutely loved it. Loved the corridors it felt old world with a modern touch. The staff were so lovely and friendly and excellent location.

We couldn’t enter the hotel bar every night we were staying there as there were private parties it would have been to experience it as it looked fabulous from the hotel photos.

Beautiful building, great breakfast!

Very beautiful old building like a Palace. My room was very big, with an extra room with sofa and TV, like a suite. The breakfast buffet offered a huge variety and was delicious.

The location is described to be central, but it's like 5 minutes walk to Piazza Unita and to the sea. Of course not far, and there are many shops and restaurants directly nearby the hotel, but I am used to staying in another hotel more central, directly at Piazza Unita and the sea.

Like always, lovely.

We liked the stuff responsiveness and flexibility to our special demands. Everybody was very kind; the hotel bar is unique experience. Hotel looks like a museum, that as far as I am informed, was before. You should use this as advantage in the future for more and more details. We decided to take breakfast outside in the traditional bars this time, but next time we might choose to change this and take the breakfast in hotel to be able to enjoy this historical ambience more.

The space for luggage was poor. The closet was too short. There was no space to put more than 1 coat (we needed space for 4 more). This is very strange to see in Double Tree by Hilton hotel. Even when asked to do something about it (like using opened hangers) hotel had no solution for that. Second serious problem was room temperature. We were guests with the baby and due to low temperature, that could not be sufficiently fast improved in the evening, we weren't able to bath the kid normally. 3rd issue was the parking service, it was very poor. To wait for the car for 30min when called for, and to pay 30eur per day is just too much. Obviously, the hotel is making extra profit this way and I personally don't appreciate this. I know Trieste centre very well so after 1 night I have chosen to switch despite lack of comfort - and I don't like being out of comfort on vacation, that is why I choose Double Tree by Hilton. I am convinced this all can be solved easily in the future if the client's reviews are well read. We hope to visit the hotel again since we travel to Italy often and sleepover in Trieste on our way back to Serbia.

A perfect stay to get ready for a new week.

Very good breakfast. The best feature is the service at the reception. I was treated as a special guest and all my additional requests were immediately completed in a very professional manner.

Nice stay, but noisy location

The building, breakfast, personnel.

It is located in a central area and there is a lot of noise coming from the street in the evening and during the night. The phonic isolation of the windows is not ideal (we could hear noise made by cars and motorbikes even late at night). The bathroom and hallways could have been better cleaned.

The staff at the reception was extremely friendly. The hotel is in a great location and the Suite Junior was very spacious and comfortable.

Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our requirements. The food could be of better quality. Wellness is charged extra and it didn't work while we were in the hotel.

Exceptional building, great design, at central city center location. Very convenient wallet parking, that enables luggage drop off/in just in front of the main entrance. Very recommended!
