Gorgeous stately residence turned hotel. Wonderful bedrooms. Nice breakfast. Feels like a home.

We loved our stay mainly due to the staff. Tamara was the best!

Our hostess was the best! She felt like family and was so amazing and helpful! The breakfast staff was also very friendly. The breakfast was delightful and again…great service! I would stay here again! Great location if you’re on a cruise especially. It’s only a few blocks away from the terminal, grand canal and main square! The room was very large and comfortable.

The stairs to the apartment were a challenge—four flights—be prepared. There is no elevator in this historical building which was once a consulate. You will have to carry your luggage up those stairs.

Good location, comfortable, amenities, all you needed.

We loved the oldness of the building with appropriate decor furniture & fittings. We were very comfortable, as was the bed. Fabulous hot shower. Owner very friendly. Location just where we needed to be on the waterfront. Lovely stay 🥀

Only one thing was difficult & that was the 69 stairs from the front door to the door of the hotel!!! With no lift & a very heavy suitcase.

Great room, fabulous breakfast, wonderful stay!

It was a spacious room - the bed was comfortable and the spare bed was useful to spread out my ‘stuff’. I loved the washbasin in the bathroom! Breakfast was superb - great spread.

It’s just me - but I think there were just a tad too many heart ornaments which, to me, took away the loveliness of the room a little. But, as I said, it’s just me.

Great value and location, but not for seniors.

The property was close to the port and plenty of restaurants and sightseeing within blocks.

There was no elevator and bringing heavy suitcases was a chore to bring up to the room….especially for senior citizens. A/C did not cool sufficiently.

A dream stay in old historic building, right on the harbour of busy Trieste of Trieste

This is a beauty on the Trieste waterfront , with gorgeous views , of the port . It’s handy to old town to walk around and the hosts are kind and generous , helpful . The breakfast is a work of art and so are the rooms

The room door was not closing well and it was not isolating any noise. You could hear everything inside and outside our room (La Lanterna) The shower gel dispenser was empty during our stay of two days.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful city with gracious hosts!

It was a beautiful historic property in a central location. The rooms were absolutely amazing. I enjoyed all of the decorative details including the wonderful floors. The hosts were very gracious and extremely accommodating! Everything was clean and well taken care of. The hostess at breakfast was beyond excellent in providing phenomenal service and was so kind. Thank you for the amazing memories. I hope to return again.

No complaints from myself but my parents didn’t like the stairs so much (a few flights up and sometimes lights weren’t on at night which made it difficult using phone flashlight).

Location is great, parking is so close to the flat. I was only two days, but really enjoyed. Hosts were so helpfull, every question i had, they were ready to help. Also, for Balkan people there is one plus, Lidija speaks our language. Big regards for whole crew! 😊

Great place to stay in Trieste, feel like aristocracy from the end of the century.. The hostesses were wonderful, the breakfast was sweet and the bad was extra comfy. Heads up for parking, it's not connected to the building, it's across the street. You could wait for free parking spot as it is depending on availability (do not park on blue stripes zone or you'll get a fine)

Loved the location, needs better signage at door.

The hotel was very old world charm ,we had a very late arrival which she accommodated.The breakfast was presented beautifully.

WE are almost eighty and the walk up to the hotel was very hard with no help for luggage.we had a dispute with owner about a very small chip on glass bathroom sink,she felt we must pay for new sink.

Trieste should be on your list.

This is one floor of an old embassy building with fabulous views out over the huge bay. It is easy to walk into the city which is so worth exploring. There is the most amazing architecture and great museums and galleries as well as some amazing church buildings. There are the most amazing number of boats in the harbour. Don't miss out on the Cafes! The rooms are big with high ceilings and plenty of space. We were warmly welcomed and looked after during our stay. Breakfast was in lovely room looking out to the sea and of a very high standard. The rooms are easy to find and a short taxi to the train station. There are often taxis by the hotel building. There are lots of restaurants to choose from and do sample some of the local wines.

It's unavoidable but it is quite a way to carry your case up the stairs---but well worth it!

Fantastic place! Old 1830 building with beautiful furniture. Such wonderful details! Place bring you back in 19 century. Property owners were kind, professional, unobtrusive “e molto simpatico”. Hope to came back soon.

A lovely, comfortable accommodation in a unique historical building, steps from the sights.

We had a very warm welcome from the staff. The location was excellent—close walking distance to everything but not in the middle of noise and crowds. Breakfast was lovely and the room was clean, comfortable and well-updated. Very good value for the price.

It did not bother us, but for some guests it would be good to know that the rooms are on the second floor of an older building, and there is no elevator.
