Amazing experience of italy

Do a spotlessly clean and massive amounts of space and felt like always living in Italy 100 years ago only top class and really really well kept and warm in the winter months

The floors are a little bit squeaky but they're not going to do about that it showed that there were an authentic old floors could be 100 years old amazing

Comfortable and clean

The room we had was self contained and very comfortable and clean. Luca was very helpful and allowed us to leave our bags at the place he worked as we arrived in Trieste earlier than check in time. The room was large and the building is very secure.

Great huge quiet apartment in Old Town Trieste

Great location! It's in the middle of the Old Town, one block away from the middle of the Grand Canal, and a 10min walk from the bus terminal. Also, easy to catch a bus nearby, e.g., to go to the Miramare Castle. Plenty of restaurants nearby, but most of these target tourists, so if you want more "typical local food", you'll have to walk 10-15 minutes. The apartment I had (Taupe) was huge: the bedroom was enormous, then there was an adjacent TV room (which I did not use), a small kitchenette off the entrance hall (mini-fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine with 2 pods, toaster, no stovetop), and a decent size functional bathroom. The windows (old style two panes) were good for noise insulation, though I could hear some loud noises if any (e.g., truck) - but the neighborhood is very quiet at night. The floors are real wood, beautiful old style, and they creak as you walk on them - I loved them, reminded me of my youth. Also, Luca (owner or manager) communicated very effectively with me before my arrival, and guided me to get into the building through to my room - I felt well supported.

Small things. As the rooms are so big with high ceilings (loved that!), they could do with a bit more decoration, e.g., large paintings or pictures on the walls; or some wall-paper depicting a scene of Trieste; I have seen this done beautifully in other apartments where I have stayed. The bed was a bit soft for me, but it's an individual preference. The toilet is a bit frustrating - it takes several flushes to "do the job"... Also, careful, my room was en-suite, but some rooms have their own bathroom across the hall.

One Night in Trieste

Friendly and kind welcome by Silvano...also helped us work out parking meter on street just outside for 24 hours which was very convenient. Taupe Room was very comfortable, more room than we expected and near new bathroom/facilities. Situated in a majestic 1800's building that has been very well maintained. Location!!! 5 minutes walk to Centro. Air-conditioning, also loved that we could open windows for fresh air.

Everything The location was amazing The room was huge and so clean The bed was very comfortable The bathroom was spotless and luxurious There was so much natural light The owner came and checked us in and explained everything about the apartment. A grand building & apartment in a grand location.

Fantastic price, location and beautiful apartment. This place is no more than a 1 minute walk from the grand canal (restaurants, cafes etc). The apartment is large for a one bed studio (with sofa bed, fridge, microwave, table and chairs etc) and a private shower / toilet. The shower / toilet area is also big and beautiful. The small balcony (inner courtyard) was cute. Luca communicate throughout. Make sure your phone is charged and you have data as Luca will contact in a sequence of messages to get access. This is very easy to follow!!

Being from Ireland often means we are very warm in places when it’s cold for Italians etc. We were warm throughout the night and opened windows for air.

A great place to stay - would definitely recommend.

The location was great - just a few minutes walk from the bus and railway stations. The apartment was really spacious, clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed.

There was nothing we didn't like about this apartment! Luca, our host, was great at communicating with us before our arrival, and we were met at the property by Silvano, who gave us the low-down on all we needed to know about the accommodation.

A place to call home

Roomy and inviting quiet and very handy to everything. An easy walk from either the train station or the port. The best lighting I’ve experienced in my 30 years of travelling around Europe. The age of the building is to be celebrated. The facilities match modern expectations. Great to have a jug coffee machine and fridge.

Avoid the Green Room

Clean, big room, great central location, character.

Very disappointed at the fact that our room didn’t have an en-suite bathroom. Despite the incorrect written description “room includes bathroom”, the bathroom was physically detached at the end of a communal corridor. Which presented privacy problem and discomfort. For mere 130 euros/night. We felt tricked and misinformed. Turned out there is a floor plan image concealed within the selection of 24 images. So according to the host this was our fault for chosing the particular room. Not customer deception ! So unless you like the “hostel” concept avoid the Green Room!

Catch the vibe of Trieste

The rooms are very clean and spacious. The location is excellent, near the Grand Canal; many tourist attractions are accessible on foot. Lots of restaurants are nearby. The host was in constant contact with us until we finalized all the details.

Relatively difficult to find parking. One of the rooms has a private bathroom, but outside the room and my friends did not like this

A really lovely room, far more spacious than I was expecting, with a very comfortable bed and super cute design. Great location right next to the Grand Canal. The host Luca was friendly and accommodating, and allowed me to drop my bags for storage for the afternoon when I arrived early too.

Simply perfect

We were in Trieste for the 2nd time and stayed in the accommodation. The communication was again totally uncomplicated. Our arrival time was taken into account individually. Luca had contacted us, Mr. Silvano was there on time and gave us the keys. The flat is in a phenomenal location in the old town. Everything is within walking distance from here. Shops, great places to eat, the sea.... The rooms are equipped with everything a traveller needs to feel comfortable. Everything is lovingly furnished to a high standard. This makes travelling fun. And we will certainly comming back. Thank you for everything!
