25hours Hotel Paper Island

Had a fabulous stay here. Made really welcome by the staff. Design was beautiful, bed huge and comfortable, shower great. Booked at short notice and asked for a quiet room if possible as my husband is a very light sleeper. Room was super quiet and the curtains blocked out a lot of light. Location is cool, and lots of places to eat nearby as alternatives to the pricey breakfast. Great cocktail bar on the 8th floor (not part of the hotel) with views over the harbour.

I'd read the reviews so knew to bring my own conditioner (the other toiletries are lovely). Similarly was prepared for there not to be tea and coffee facilities in the room. In fact you can ask for a tea and coffee tray, which we didn't have to pay for, and then you keep the kettle and the tray can be replenished. It's just part of their sustainability commitment, so not actually a negative at all.

Unexpectedly cool and quirky hotel in a trendy location. Easy to reach central Copenhagen on foot. Staff young and helpful. Beds and linens of superior quality. Nice choice at breakfast. Would recommend!

The only thing I really missed was a smaller face cloth in the bathroom ;)

The staff were lovely. The hotel was for the most part, very clean. I loved sitting by the reception fire pit.

Unfortunately, I think we got unlucky with our stay. Our toilet seemed to have some sort of blockage, that meant every time we came back to our room, well...it smelled...bad. We also would strongly recommend changing floors if you happen to be on floor 7 on the weekend. There is a bar above your room that runs loud music until about 2am, which the hotel staff couldn't do anything about despite multiple phone calls. On the topic of the bar above, it's actually a really nice bar!
