Host & Stay - The Municipal View Abode

The location was perfect, leading onto Dale Street and not too far from cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and local attractions. The instructions to get there caused us no problems (the hairdressers that is next to the garage is on the ground floor of the apartment block). It is a pretty quiet street so it did not cause any problems for us, who had a young child with us. The apartment was clean and tidy with all of the facilities described. The Host team are very quick at responding if you have any queries.

We booked our stay the last week in June 2026 and the outside temperatures were approximately around 21°C to 23°C. The temperature in the apartment was very hot and stuffy on a night so we did not experience a good quality sleep during our stay. We tried opening the windows during the day but this made no difference after we closed them. There is a constant loud noise from seagulls so leaving them open isn't an option. One fan is provided which helps (only if you are using one bedroom) so a second would be helpful in warm weather.

A modern very well appointed apartment in a great location and with a lovely view of the city. The apartment was very comfortable and provided everything we needed for our stay.

Nothing! If we had one comment we would suggest that clearer instructions be provided on how to access the apartment from the car park and also how to open the door on to the terrace!

As a place, it’s good – located in the city center and clean. It’s not a bad value for the money.

However, the instructions were unclear. You need to enter the first building in the yard, not the second one, which wasn’t properly explained. Also, for three people staying three nights, they provided only one roll of toilet paper and refused to offer more. It seemed logical to them, but hopefully they will reconsider this approach in the future.
