Loved the city, nice place to stay.

Great location, loads of toilet rolls and coffee, tea and milk, bonus having a dishwasher and washing machine. Had a great two nights here.

When we stripped the beds before we left bedroom two mattress had marks on them. Main bedroom pillows were yellow. You need to invest in new pillows and mattresses. Also noisy in the front bedroom, could do with secondary glazing. Were woken up around 6 on both mornings of bin men emptying recycling bins with glass bottles from the nearby pubs.

Parking isn’t free

The free parking included was a scam. They gave me two cards for the QPark garage that didn’t work. I was told to pay the garage and request reimbursement from Happy Days, but when I did I got the run around. I spent a good ten hours over many days going back and forth, only be ghosted in the end.

I like the easy steps to check in and all the staff involved are super friendly and really helpful. we got a door code for the outside door and found the apartment key inside.

we thought the apartment was very nice for a night's stay in the middle of town, we had all we need, the only one thing we thought could be better, we had a find out how the put the heater on (it was a little chilly), the bathroom heater didn't work or at least we didnt get it to work and the couch in the living room was a little on the old "flimsy" side, still good but probably ready to be replaced.

The location was good. The parking was secure and easy

The sofa bed in the lounge was dirty and uncomfortable. It was not fit for purpose as either a sofa or a sofa bed. Also there was not enough seating for the occupants. The apartment needed a place to hang coats and the blinds need replacing. The shower head was broken. We didn’t understand why the table was set for 6 people with all the crockery being laid out as that seemed very unhygienic. The apartment needed some decent lamps as the only lamp was damaged. A dish cloth is also required.

Good location

The cooker hob was chipped and broken sharp glass. The freezer department in fridge completely iced up unusable. Could do with a couple of small pans to go on the hob instead of the two big ones. Need better pillows rather than the two very thin ones per bed lucky I didn’t have to share.

The hallways lifts were really dirty and the bins by the front door really smelt and alarms were constantly going off for the fire system Should not advertise parking with it as the parking was not close at all having a disabled guest with us and baggage was awful having to go pick a pass up in the center first then find the parking ruiened our first day had tondo 3 trips to the car park to get luggage as parking was not available close to the building

Not clean - the bathroom had phlegm on the wall in the shower. Sofa had stains on it. Advertised as having a sofa bed - but it wasn’t and it was really uncomfortable. Tried phoning the number provided but no one answered

Being ripped off for parking. I was informed that if I paid for parking nearby the property would refund me the cost. This did not happen and despite numerous requests no refund was ever made. Booking.com promised to make good the money I had paid but they too renaged on their promise.

Second time we’ve stayed at 16 Queen Avenue. Great location in a quiet area.

The location was within 10 minutes easy walking distance to Matthew Street. The double room apartment we stayed in was lovely. Living room huge, bedrooms were an acceptable size, and the apartment had everything we needed. Lots of historical details showing what the room used to be used for.

More pillows would have been a nice touch, the ones provided were a bit flat and too firm for me. There are loads of windows in the living room area, so be careful when closing the roller blinds as some of them were a bit damaged, making them difficult to close/open.

We booked for 6 people and were given two bedroom apartment with broken filthy couch that was supposed to sleep 2 people on. The most uncomfortable night ever. Notified staff afternoon after checking in and got no resolve.

Great property , great location and very poor customer service by the ladies at the call centre.

Property was spotlessly clean and the location is great. Having a TV with Netflix made my kid very happy.

The advert says it comes with free parking. They ask you to park at the nearest public car park, which is a good 10 minute walk. Wish this was mentioned in the advert. They will then pay all your parking charges once you produce receipts. This may take a few days after you checkout. You can’t take a car to the postcode they give as it is pedestrian only. You will have to park on a double yellow line in a street nearby and take all your luggage to the property. Customer service number connects you to a call centre in philippines. When we called, all they did was send a picture of the front door and a screen shot of the google map location, which is useless.

Hot and small

The room was left unlocked and the keys were left on the table. The location is right on castle street.

The room size was extremely small, the pictures included on booking.com are not what was expected. We arrived to two rooms with two double beds and one couch bed the couch bed was not a double bed size and it was a small couch where the back fell flat. My family member sat on the couch bed and it fell over not suitable for two people. There was no air conditioning. The windows did not open we asked for help numerous times and was told the windows do not open. The heat was unbearable we were supplied with one fan for the apartment we had to ask family to drop off an additional three fans to keep cool. There was an 7 month old baby with us it was not ideal for the morning of my wedding. There was no room for us to get ready and you are required to pay £50 per person deposit which I was told can take up to 30 days to return to your bank account. This payment is required before arriving at the apartment.

The apartment was really nice with good facilities and freshly decorated. The building itself was lovely and in a beautiful little courtyard. Location wise absolutely perfect, very central and easy access to the main attractions being a short walk down to the waterfront. Just around the corner from The Cavern and plenty of different restaurants and bars nearby however it was actually quite quiet. All in all it was brilliant for our family get together and we all loved it.

Only major issue was the sofa bed being super uncomfortable both to sit on and sleep on. And the other problem we had was when we went to open the oven door the whole oven moved! We never used it but still that needs addressing.

Checkin and parking info not provided untill 3pm so had to park and pay somewhere else, had to collect pass before parking and then return pass after exiting carpark very inconvienient so didn't bother. Bathroom bin not emptied before arrival which had food in and smelt awful. Sofa very uncomfatable and old. Staff rude and unhelpful both prior to arriving on phone and in person in there offices. No openning windows in apartment so very stuffy with no fresh air. Very noisey, noise from outside and in. They only seem interested in taking your money and charging for extras £20 per hour for early checkin or late checkout.

Beware the floodlights

I booked a one bed apartment but was given a two bed apartment. It was a gorgeous apartment with everything one would need. This would have easily been a 9 star if not for...... read below

The main issue was the floodlights positioned directly outside the bedroom windows. Even with blackout roller blinds, a significant amount of light seeped through the sides, making it very difficult to sleep. It’s unclear why such strong external lighting would be placed near residential bedrooms. This was a real drawback in an otherwise stylish, comfortable, and well-furnished apartment.

There were ants in the bathroom, kitchen (didn’t date have food) and bathroom. The blinds didn’t work so we couldn’t sleep as the window was opposite huge neon M&S signs. Pillows were rock hard. TV didn’t work. Floors were dirty. On a noisy road.

Beautiful place, shame about the noise.

Very clean and spacious. Close to L1 and bars, restaurants and the main thoroughfares.

I know there’s nothing anyone can do about this but the seagulls and pigeons go on all night. I’m not sure if the windows are only single pane because of the age of the building but they sound as if they are right at the bedroom windows all night long. 2 nights we got no sleep. If it wasn’t the seagulls it was water running from upstairs. I thought at the start there was a leak of some sort as it was like a gushing sound. Either of these can’t be helped and it’s such shame to mark the beautiful property down because of them but I have to answer the question honestly. Sorry. As a cleaner myself I can be quite fussy and tend to notice things other people don’t but in this case the cleaners are exceptional at their job. I did, however, notice cobwebs on the high ceilings. Apart from those, the place was immaculate. I would also say that there should be a mirror in the bedrooms. 4 adults getting ready for a graduation event and only 2 mirrors, one being in the bathroom, wasn’t easy. Lastly, 4 hangers between 4 adults for 2 nights is not nearly enough, we had to go out and buy some. There are 2 wardrobes and 2 in each wardrobe 🙈

Highly recommended

In a side, quiet close in the very center of Liverpool, the second floor with a lift of a traditional tenant house, a huge comfortable apartment with a dining table nicely laid for a dinner for six. Two big and comfy bedrooms, one windowless, though. Well equipped kitchenette and basic food stores within a short walking distance. Everything as shown in the pictures. Very homely atmosphere, you feel good. The keys are available at the reception 10 minutes away. We paid a cash deposit, on our departure a quick check for possible damage, deposit returned immediately. You are a ten-minute-walk away from The Beattles memmorabilia and not far from all highlights of Liverpool. Being there do not drive, just walk.
