We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Casolara. From the moment we arrived, our host, Lara made us feel incredibly welcome and shared so many thoughtful local recommendations that made our trip even more special. The chalet is a true beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Every detail has been carefully considered, making it feel warm, cozy, and truly relaxing. Waking up to the breathtaking views from the terrace over the rolling hills of Emilia-Romagna was unforgettable. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious tasting of local cured meats and cheeses, which gave us a wonderful taste of the region’s traditions. Thanks Lara 🙏. Casolara is so much more than a place to stay, it’s an authentic experience that lets you slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the genuine hospitality of Emilia-Romagna. We would return without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable, and truly special getaway.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Great position and awesome location in the woods

The space was quite humid and had an unpleasant smell, with clear signs of general neglect and poor overall maintenance. We had to sleep with the heater on. Unfortunately, the bed was uncomfortable, and we both woke up with back pain. Cleanliness was also an issue — we found spider webs, insects, dust, and hair in the shower and on the toilet. There was food residue on the stove, and the fridge was rusted. Additionally, there was no welcome kit provided, such as bottled water, snacks, or coffee pods. Given the price we paid, we expected a much higher standard.
