Gorgeous place and fab restaurant but a bit more attention to customer service and comfort needed

The rooms at Casa Fluo are lovely - beautifully and stylishly decorated, interesting furniture, comfy beds and very clean. The restaurant is fabulous, with absolutely fantastic views of hills and farmland. Really enjoyed the way Giacomo looked after us, and the restaurant food and wines were delicious. A very good breakfast too (and Margarita was charming and efficient).

We would have liked a few comfortable sitting places outside for guests during the day (the guest area under the trees at the back was full of insects). Also both our arrival and our departure didn't go very well - our arrival was not welcoming, with a very long time of fussing about a computer instead of seeing us to our rooms and sorting out the problem later. There was no shuttle all week and roadworks around Casa Fluo, and on the day of our departure our taxi booked by management failed to turn up because of confusion over directions. Given a complicated situation with roadworks, we needed more help and felt quite unsupported and stressed for an hour and a half of waiting. In the end, however, we found the grandmother and she saved the day by calling another taxi and explaining properly to the driver how to get there.

Stunning rooms and setting, but no sense of being looked after.

Stunning location and beautifully designed and comfortable bedroom. Fabulous restaurant next door with a gorgeous terrace, super friendly staff and innovative cooking (we couldn’t understand the poor Trip Advisor reviews) and lovely breakfast with delightful breakfast waitress.

We received a very friendly welcome by the mother of the owner but we had very little communication with anyone after then, despite trying several times to ask reception to book a taxi for us when it was clear the shuttle service to the train station wasn’t available. There were various “services” on offer but given our experience with the taxi we suspect we’d have had similar problems accessing those. The receptionist we did encounter at the Casa and in the restaurant sadly was rather unfriendly - we don’t speak Italian which I know doesn’t help but a smile would have gone a long way! We’re not needy guests but the lack of sense of hospitality left a bad taste in an otherwise beautiful place . Only other slight disappointment were the grounds. We’d booked the Casa hoping for a day of relaxation in the hills, with the ability to rest in some nice gardens. The setting was really stunning with beautiful views but the seating options were extremely limited - really only in full sun and you had to go through the busy restaurant to access it.

Nothing.

There were people talking and walking around above our room until past midnight. They were louder before 10pm and got a little better after but we could still hear them. The property said they are unable to do anything if guests are being loud before 10pm. So for anyone wanting to rest, this is not the place for you. If you are sensitive to fragrance, be aware that all rooms have a fragrance of its own, which the property said is "part of the experience". The fragrances are very strong and gave me an allergic reaction (migraine + stuffy nose). I had to remove it from the room. The area is not walkable at all. It's located on a hilly area, with VERY narrow roads that can barely fit one car and are somehow supposed to be two-way roads. There is absolutely nothing to do nearby. There is a restaurant 15 min away or so, but it's very hard, if not impossible, to find parking. Also, one of the main reasons I had picked the hotel was all the pictures they have of outdoor areas, but those are not at the hotel. Some are of the restaurant (which they're not even using at the moment), and some are across the road from the property. I feel like I was tricked by the pictures. Lastly, our room had a sauna, and I really wish it hadn't. As soon as I opened that door, the whole room smelled like mold.

Beautiful location and incredible comfort and service!!

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The room was wonderful and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and the beautiful location cannot be beat.

beautiful scenic location brilliant restaurant serving locally grown food and produce rooms have a lot of character and are nicely styled and decorated shared kitchen facility and spaces are well equipped and maintained very good breakfast

communication from staff wasn’t great unclear what activities were available to do and what services the hotel provided (airport transfer etc.)

Tranquil stay in the nature

This was our stop between Venice and Ancona to taste a Tuscany view without extending our trip that far. The location has offered great views and a relaxing atmosphere. Rich homemade breakfast with silver service and great views of the valley was to remember and I wish we had more time to absorb more in the library.

There was not much to entertain the kids but that was not the promise to cant complain. If you arrive early, it would be worth visiting Florence within an hour's distance

Completely overrated, not value for money

Tired rooms, cats running around (not good for people with allergies, and owner showed unhappiness when we mentioned this to her), owner living on the upper floor above our bedrooms talking loudly above our heads, thumping the floor at 2.00 AM on the cracking old floor, without caring for guests sleeping below.

The location is spectacular and the property is beautiful. The room we had was very pretty. The breakfast was great.

It’s not clear when you book that some of the rooms do not have air conditioning. Outside of the summer months I’m sure no air con wouldn’t be a problem given the hotel’s location, but in the middle of August our room was like a furnace. When we checked in we were told air con was “not necessary as the room is cool at night” - that is totally inaccurate in August. We left after one night (we paid for our entire stay in full on arrival) because the room was too uncomfortable given the heat - we tried to find someone in the morning to tell them we were leaving but couldn’t, so sent both an email and a text message. Nobody had the courtesy to reply to us but I saw later on that day that our messages must have been received as they were readvertising our room for the night. No problem with that but to not even reply to us or acknowledge that we left early was super rude I thought. Also, if you stay in the Yellow Room you will hear every little thing from the room above. Not sure about the acoustics of the other rooms.

La struttura è bellissima, sia il complesso edilizio sia la posizione e la vista. I locali perfettamente puliti e le aree comuni calde e molto accoglienti.

La WIFI non funziona molto bene e non essendoci campo per le principali compagnie telefoniche diventa molto importante che internet funzioni. Lo staff ci ha fornito poche informazioni sulla camera (l'alloggio era caldissimo - anche durante la notte - e non ci è stato spiegato come poter regolare il riscaldamento, né come utilizzare in modo idoneo il bagno turco che una volta spento dopo l'utilizzo di uno degli ospiti noi non si è poi riacceso). Inoltre il ristorante era in un periodo di chiusura, nonostante nei giorni precedenti abbia ricevuto più di un messaggio dalla struttura in cui sono stata invitata a prendere visione dei vari servizi disponibili e a prenotare pranzi/cene. Peccato.

Fijne kamer, restaurant met terras met uitzicht

Paar kilometer buiten Bologna, prachtig in natuur. Mooi restaurant naast B&B.

Prijs-kwaliteit uit verhouding. Super plek als prijs lager was. Ontvangst helaas niet door eigenaren zelf, die we op afstand zagen en heel aardig leken, maar door ongeïnteresseerde dame.

Splendidamente immersa nella natura dei colli bolognesi! Struttura deliziosa, camera più che pulita con prodotti di qualità in dotazione (dal materasso alle lenzuola fino ai prodotti da bagno). Abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato la piccola cucina messa a disposizione degli ospiti per un caffè prima che aprisse il ristorante per la colazione

Non abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato il dover scegliere in anticipo la tipologia di colazione tra 3 varianti, avremmo preferito una soluzione un pochino più tradizionale…ma è un gusto personale perché ci è stata servita una colazione più che abbondante in mezzo alla natura e con una vista spettacolare!

La colazione ed il pranzo fantastici: serviti nel giardino con vista sulle colline. Cibo ottimo, ingredienti genuini. Tutto è curato con stile e buon gusto. Location meravigliosa. Camera in mansarda arredata con gusto. Nel bagno una vasca enorme con idromassaggio ci ha rilassato e coccolato

Una location meravigliosa dall’aria di “Casa”.

La struttura è davvero molto curata in ogni dettaglio. Abbiamo soggiornato solo per una notte ma sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita dall’atmosfera di “casa”, dalla cura degli spazi , dal silenzio e dal verde circostante. Abbiamo soggiornato nella stanza Rossa. Bellissima. Colazione straordinaria ed in una location ( il fienile) incantevole. Da tornarci!!!

La linea telefonica non c’è . La posizione non dà segnale e il wifi non funziona correttamente. Nella stanza non c’è un armadio o comunque una rella dove poter distendere abiti. Solo qualche gruccia attaccata al muro. Vi è si una credenza ma non utile al distendere panni. Cambierei il materasso. Topper si ma materasso troppo ammollato. Per il resto tutto stupendo.
