The location is great. The house is beautiful. Two parking spaces and a key safe on arrival. The instructions were clear and the house had ample space.

Unfortunately our trip was ruined by an accusation of causing damage to the property. On arrival, immediately as you enter the carpets are filthy which led to me immediately recording the house as proof of how we found it. These old stains continued right up to the 2nd floor. So imagine my shock when I was asked why we had stained the carpet. Previous reviews even mention the unclean carpets! We were then told the host had to pay for them to be cleaned which I just don’t believe. These were very very old stains. So why were they not cleaned in advance of our stay? Then we were accused of breaking a cushion on a sofa that expired years ago that we didn’t even sit on. To anyone who stays here I strongly suggest looking under the sofa cushions and then you will see why we didn’t use the sofa. All the crockery was dirty in the kitchen. The kitchen bin was beyond filthy. But we didn’t complain. We cleaned when we arrived and we cleaned when we left. We left the house cleaner than when we arrived. But no thanks. Instead an accusation of damage. The host was perfectly polite. I don’t know if it was him making the accusations or the owner. But it has ruined my trust in anything other than a hotel. Be sure to take pictures/videos on arrival and departure and I’m glad we did. I leave this review as a warning to just make sure you take before and after pictures of everything! I also left my sons night light. And asked if I paid for packaging and posting whether it could be retuned and was ignored.
