Lovely warm, clean, cosy and well-equipped cottage to use as a base for visiting relatives

Beautifully warm and cosy (my wife would say a little too warm!). Kids loved the Netflix. Felt secure and safe overall. Good parking availability albeit it not directly outside the cottage. Supplied toilet roll, washing up facilities, kitchen equipment and the usual cooking utensils was very much appreciated. Although there are no EV charging facilities on site, there are a couple of fast-charging Instavolt stations very close by, adjacent to the local McD's (at the time of writing, 89p per KwH) and a BP Pulse a little further toward Pudsey.

Please note that there is NO private pool (kids were quite disappointed about this!) and some of the flooring is a little squeaky which our rescue pup didn't like too much as she kept getting woken up when someone went to the loo! Please also note that there is only ONE toilet but the property description makes it sound like there are two (text reads as: toilet and shared toilet) which sometimes caused a bit of upset with the four of us! Our pet rescue dog was a little skitty at the oft-times howling from the next door cattery and dog kennels. It wasn't particularly loud inside, but at night, everything is amplified so if you bring a pet, just be aware that although the cottage is in a quiet location, the noise of said kennels floats across into the cottage. There is also no grassy areas where doggy can do his/her business so they will have to be content with paving stones or tarmac in the courtyard area. Kids were sleeping in the downstairs room next to the kitchen and one commented that the combined fridge and boiler noise was a bit disruptive to sleep. They are (as you'd expect) constant 'droney' noises which some people might actually find quiet soothing and condusive to sleep!

Lovely little cottage stay

It's a beautiful cottage (pictured don't do it justice) it was cosy and homly and our host was friendly.

There wasn't a pool - cleared up by the host on arrival that it's an error on booking.com but couldn't help being a little disappointed

Didn’t check all the details. 1 bathroom upstairs which was a little tricky for my elderly parent. Fortunately we managed ok but ideally she would have been downstairs on her own and me and my wife upstairs .

It felt fairly secure and it was cosy

The shower doesn’t keep stable temperature (wildly swinging between freezing and scalding by itself, the sheets on the bed weren’t cotton so not comfortable, and there was dog poop outside our front door

Don't like to give bad reviews but I think it's a bit sneaky how they don't mention you have to go through a bedroom to get to the bathroom. So there is no privacy in 1 bedroom.

The shared bathroom is an en-suite located from in the main bedroom. For the other guests staying in the other bedroom they have to enter the main bedroom first in order to use the only toilet. This makes the privacy very difficult, particularly during the night.

Characterful stone cottage with comfortable beds and a roomy lounge and sizeable bedrooms. Location on the edge of Leeds handy with easy access to the city. It was great to be met by a host rather than by an impersonal key code!

The aesthetic is beautiful, it was very home from home and what we wanted. It was very clean , beds were very comfortable. Parking was easy. Good value for money. Enjoyed our stay. Will definitely be going back again.

People that was staying with me was wary of the dogs out front as they were barking .After a few days they warmed up to them though. Also on the advertisement it stated a swimming pool we were not shown this .

The location was pefect for us as we had travelled down from Cumbria to see family. The cottage was perfectly situated for us to see friends and family in Horsforth, Pudsey, Headingley and beyond. As per the description, it was cosy, comfortable, and very pet friendly - our two dogs loved it. The cottage has a courtyard which is fenced in and completely secure and we were able to let them out knowing they were safe. Our Cavapoo, Lucy had a great time with the owners Cocker Spaniel, Maggie and was sad when we had to leave.

Superb

Spacious, well equipped cottage. Very helpful host with a hospitable Yorkshire welcome with tea, milk and biscuits. Rooms are much larger than the pictures on the website. Good heating system which kept us very cosy. Nice kitchen with dining area. Rural location with nice walks to local park and woods and only 10 mins drive to Central Leeds.
