Grays Court is a beautiful and truly unique place to stay in York. The staff were warm and friendly, the accommodations were full of historic character, and the gorgeous garden made the property feel especially peaceful.
The complimentary breakfast was delicious and incredibly generous. I enjoyed toast, tea, orange juice, and a full British breakfast.
The location is perfect for exploring historic York on foot. It is just steps from York Minster and within easy walking distance of the city’s old streets, shops, and attractions. I would happily stay here again!

This is a hidden gem of a hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are immaculately clean, and the breakfasts are high quality. It is tucked away behind York Minster in a quiet spot with a private stairway to the city walls from a secluded garden. Highly recommended.
