Super location right in the heart of town. Room spacious with comfortable bed. Parking behind hotel. Tasty breakfast. Rooms are above pub and beer garden. Handy Tesco Express across the road too.
Google maps is useless for finding the car park. You need to look very carefully for an opening just before you come to the shop before the Gillygate. We went past it even at snails pace. Someone had put on to look for an arch. It wasn't an arch, just an alley/opening between the 2 buildings before the hotel. Its private parking though so you are guaranteed a space.

It was clean lovely breakfast loved the room
Not enough storage space could have fitted some drawers in dressing table no chair so had to sit on bed to do make up .smallest sink i have ever seen .smallest toiteries glad brought my own

The noise was noticeable, but its hardly a complaint. We booked a room above a pub. What do you expect?

Excellent location, good breakfast.
Loud live music, room was vibrating. Room No.2. I understand its a pub but Nothing in details when booking. Booked x 2 deluxe rooms but one room very small in yard next to pub beer garden and car park. Room No. 7. Both rooms had mirrors away from plugs so unable to see yourself drying your hair. Both rooms very small bathrooms.
