Lovely old pub & great location for what we needed. The private parking was a huge bonus. Room was comfortable & breakfast was spot on in a lovely conservatory. There was a lovely outdoor area, we did not have time to use it but would definitely go back when in York & the weather was good. The only downside was there was no hot water in the morning. The staff were on it though to find out what the problem was. The staff were very friendly & helpfull.

The bar staff and the beer the bar staff had no idea how to keep the beer and no idea how to pull a pint the pint I had was flatter than nuns chest it was rubbish

Great location, comfy bed & decent sized accommodation. Good pub environment with very spacious beer garden. Excellent breakfast, service very good.
