The Exhibition

Excellent location. Just steps away from the stairs up to Bootham Bar (gate) , the best part of the wall giving a view of York Minster. Easy walking distance to York Minster & the Shambles Rd. Right around the corner from the 1st stop of the Hop On Hop Off bus in Exhibition Square. The staff were excellent, helpful & friendly. Special mention for Grace who served the full breakfast every morning. Cozy & charming hotel. Good food for dinner. Good value for money. Everything you could ask for.

This was, by far, one of the best places we've stayed at as regular visitors to York. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the whole experience, especially the breakfast, was excellent. Such a traditional, cosy place to return to after shopping trips or to end the night around the open fire. Thanks to all, but especially to Adam and the young girl who served our delicious breakfast, for making our stay a great one!

The bathroom sealant could do with some mould remover but, assist from that, the place was spotless!

Great location. Lovely staff. The bar area was very cosy and inviting. So many interesting things to look at and the owner did an awesome job of decorating the bar for Halloween. It has a wonderful beer garden. Free parking was a bonus.

It was convenient to York , staff were helpful and friendly garden space was lovely and there was parking , it was clean . Breakfasts were excellent .

It was dated , the room was tiny , a struggle to walk around the double bed Street front room on a hot weekend meant having the window and secondary glazing open so was noisy first night . Second night worse , had no sleep because neighbour was watching tv all night and partition walls were thin . Sorry have to be honest .
