    My wife and I spent 3 nights in The Grand celebrating our golden wedding anniversary. Without exception the staff were friendly and courteous. The afternoon tea is a must especially the cakes made by the chef de patisserie.

    The hotel location is perfect , beautiful hotel and super friendly staff . The room was nice and big but no bath as stated in the description and after walking miles and miles a bath would have been great l the head board had parts of the leather missing we were in the new part of the hotel would of been nice to be on the old part

    I always stay at the Grand when staying in York. This is how a 5 star hotel should be. Amazing staff, stunning building and the perfect location. Me and my 5 year old loves the fantastic breakfasts too. Keep up the good work Grand
