    Stayed Sunday for 1 night, prices very reasonable compared to Saturday. Room lovely and clean with small sofa in King room. Breakfast included very nice fresh selection. Excellent location for York centre.

    Everything about this hotel was great, but the staff really brought down the overall experience. The front desk staff were unfriendly and constantly looked annoyed. When we asked to borrow a pen, they literally tossed it to us. When we collected our luggage, they just placed it on the floor instead of handing it to us directly. At breakfast, many items were often unavailable, and it took a very long time for them to be refilled. Usually, guests had to remind the staff before they would restock anything. What was even more ridiculous was that they refilled the sausages one by one with tongs instead of simply bringing out a full tray from the kitchen. For the price we paid, this level of service was absolutely absurd.
