Elmbank York, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Breakfast was great with freshly cooked choice . We were really bowled over by the historic art nouveau interior by Walton which is worth making a special trip to see and the staff were the icing on the cake ,friendly helpful and obliging well done

I really liked the Art Nouveau decor in the main hotel. Our bedroom and bathroom were also imaginatively decorated. The location was good with convenient buses when it was too hot to walk into York. The air conditiing was very effective and the shower was good.

The breakfast was a little chaotic, things kept running out. The cooked breakfast was good. It took 3 or 4 attempts for my bill to be sorted out correctly.

Love the history,decor and the beautiful art nouveau glasswork.. All very comfortable. Convenient for York with approx a 20’ walk. Staff were lovely and helpful at reception, in restaurant and behind the bar. Breakfast was very good and an excellent selection. Room clean and bathroom excellent with effective air con and showers.

The property itself was beautiful. Absolutely stunning The reception staff were really friendly and helpful. Lovely location.

The bedroom was not very welcoming.( I had wanted carpeted floors as my partner is deaf). I would have much preferred a room above ground floor. The welcome tray was basic considering the price of the room. The photos made the room look much more colourful and brighter (possibly because the room was on ground floor) but the poor lighting and hard flooring made the overall atmosphere oppressive. It took us 40 minutes to find a parking place as everywhere was full.
