The Nags Head York

Small room but had everything as needed. Mattress was quite soft and bathroom was small but for the price, in York, it was a nice room. Location is good if you want to walk into the city (15 minute walk), good for public transport and there is free parking. So for York, this is a well priced room.

Everything especially the bar downstairs the staff are absolutely brilliant. We would always recommend to go into the pub for a pint.

Staff were friendly and helpful let us put our bags in the room early. Close to York. Free parking. They also put the heating on when we said the room was cold.

No breakfast or hot meal available as the new owners are renovating and have only been there a month. The low watt bulb and dark lamp shade’s made the room appear very dark even when all 3 lights on. The carpet was hovered and the bedding was clean but the carpet desperately needs a good shampoo when you get the chance the extractor fan over the sink also needs a good clean it was clogged up with grey dust and fluff. Needs more clothes hooks on the door’s and a good working extractor fan. Apart from the fan the bathroom was spotlessly clean.
