The Lawrance Luxury Aparthotel - York

Best bed - comfort, linens and pillow - of our 3 week trip to the United Kingdom!! Stayed in 12 different hotels. Linens not exactly as reflected in photos. LOL. Good location. 10-12 min walk from train station. Lots of room for rate paid. There is a coffee shop in the front of the aparthotel. Had "breakfast" there the next morning. Thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the 2 men working that day. Super pleasant and had a great a conversation about many things. Interacted with another couple in the coffee shop also who lived there. Memorable experience and great latte and huge croissant.

A bit confusing to enter the aparthotel. Took a bit of help from others. The interactions with the staff didn't feel that warm.

The apartment was so clean and spacious.

Location near train station and spacious size Modern decor and kitchen and washing machine

Lighting all too dark so always in half light which significantly spoilt the attractiveness of the apartment. Made no sense to be living in half dark. And one bulb did not work which made it worse. Self check in not desirable.

A good location for walking into the main city.... a 10-15 minute walk. The bed was fantastic

Despite all efforts we couldn't get the heating/air-con system to provide a comfortable temperature: it was not as warm as we would have liked. We contacted reception and an electric heater was dropped off within minutes. However, for "luxury" apartments we were left feeling less than satisfied.
