Soundproofing. People above us spent a lot of time walking around which sounded so loud

This was a very fine room with decent en suite bathroom, in a large house. There was no staff present but typical facilities for example, coffee/tea, water and snacks were of very good quality.
The location was quiet within easy walking distance of the historic town centre.
Not within the control of proprietors but other occupants were a bit noisy.

Great place to stay within walking distance of Shrewsbury city centre, lovely views from our bedroom windows and spacious, well decorated rooms. In a quiet leafy area, with a lovely walk to a bridge crossing the river Severn. Comfortable beds, great coffee and tea facilities with mini fridge in the room. Large bathroom with a shower with multiple jets.
Rooms were very warm, but it was unseasonably warm 28C. However opening the windows allowed a breeze.

In a quiet area and short walk to pibs/cafes
The bed was very uncomfortable and the frame was not very sturdy at all. The bathroom had a door that led onto the landing but was not soundproofed so anyone passing would hear. A basic plaster covering the keyhole
