Good for price, bad for quality of accommodation
The price is the only aspect.
There are quite a few small bits and bobs that need fixing in the house. if those were addressed, it would make for a good holiday accommodation.

Wouldn’t stay again, sorry 😔
The bedrooms are a good size, it had been cleaned. The parking is very useful.
It’s difficult because the big problems with this property are beyond the owners control. But they are reasons I wouldn’t stay there again. On arrival I had been given 2 codes for the lock box, they were both incorrect and I had to phone for a code. But the owner answered and gave me a code quickly. Inside the house does smell musty, maybe damp. The garden is a mess and the stay would benefit from a tidier garden. The big problem is the neighbours though. There was large gangs of young men hanging around, they actually parked across the end of the driveway and blocked me in for a while. As a solo female traveler it didn’t feel safe. They are also very noisy. I even tried changing bedrooms to the back bedroom so I could get some sleep but they were still loud.

Wouldn't stay again
Approx 15 min drive to Durham but you would need a car.
Given wrong number for key box, Messy garden, musty smell, uncomfortable beds. Door didn't close to bedroom curtains don't fit window in bedroom oven didn't work. Not in Thornley, but actually in Wheatley hill very noisy neighbours and yappy dogs, bathroom needs re-tileing/grouting needs mastic around kitchen. Sink currently badly done with oversized tape

Cheap but not cheerful.
The location of the house was where we wanted to be, within easy reach of friends. The beds were clean and comfortable.
The noisy neighbours. The cold and damp house. The poor overall cleanliness.

Towels were old and crusty Left tea bags but no milk No black out curtains so light streamed through window at 04:00 Son sat on bed and it broke

Das Haus ist sehr einfach ausgestattet. Heizung, Schlüssel, Nachbars Hunde und TV sind probleme.
Das Haus ist Semi detached und typisch für die Gegend. Tages reisen in die North Yorkshire Moors oder an die Kuste sind von hieraus gut möglich.
Der Keyfach hat ein Falschen Nr gehabt nach 1/2 Std. Anruf Bekamm ich die richtigen Nr. Der Heizung Steuerung läuft über ein Fernbedienung das nicht auffindbar war! Somit war 8-10 Grad in die Wohnung!. Erst nach mehrer Emails und Anrufe war der Fernbedienung gefunden. Der Nachbar hat den ganzen nacht 23:00 - 07:00 Tv sehr laut laufen gehabt, Nachbars Hunde sid auch (Tag und Nacht) immer wieder Laut. Haus ist Sauber, Garten ist nicht Gepfelgt. Der Umgebung ist ein altes Arbeitersiedlung, und sieht entsprechend so aus. Kontakt zur Betrieber lasst wünschen.
