Late Summer weekend at Stang View

We visited Barnard Castle from US (Brooklyn NY) for a family wedding. We were not familiar with the area, but loved how the home is tucked away on a quiet street yet walking distance to center of town . Don't forget to look at the helpful binder and sit in the little garden. I really appreciated the treats on arrival as we had a very long train journey. The house is packed with charm and kept very clean. I only wish we could have stayed more than two nights.

It took us a bit to figure out the oven and definitely zoom in on the instructions but we are used to gas. Totally minor.

We really liked the property and the way it had been refurbished. It was well situated, in walking distance from the town and right next to the Bowes Museum where we were able to walk the dogs round the grounds. so all in all very good

Excellent stay, would highly recommend and will definitely stay again on my next visit

The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. we arrived to a bottle of wine and fridge stocked with milk, eggs, butter, cheese and some fresh bread. The log burning fire was an added bonus.

The WiFi kept cutting out which was a pain as the signal in the area wasn’t great. Really needed a ceiling light in the dining room as dining with just the lamp and wall light was just not enough.
