Lovely cottage in a good location in Yorkshire Dales. Fireplace added to the idyl and removed the feeling of damp in property. Shower was nice and hot. We had lovely greeting; teabags, biscuits and bottle of red as welcome. A lovely touch.
Although there was no parking, we managed to leave car on main road outside the property.
Downstairs bedroom remained cold and damp, clothes felt damp-the heating did not come on. Behind beds there were pile of dead wood lice and cobwebs, which suggested beds had not been pulled out for cleaning for some months.

Comfortable and clean property with everything you could need for a stay. Owners are super helpful, giving clear instructions for arrival, and on hand if needed. Great location in the lovely village of West Witton with easy access to local visitor attractions. Highly recommended 🙂

Keys were where host said they would be. Cottage was great but for guests with any mobility problems the steps may prove to be a problem. Absolutely fantastic pub a few doors away with a great range of real ales. That also does food.
Street parking, and steps. Road quite busy. Double bed upstairs 2 singles in a room downstairs. Bathroom upstairs. Narrow stairs.

Pretty little cottage, nicely updated.
Well equipped kitchen, but no dishwasher so bring your marigolds!
Wood burning stove in living area, two other heating systems. Radiators in kitchen, bathroom and downstairs bedroom supplied by oil fired boiler, easily managed. Electric radiators in living room and upstairs bedroom controlled by an app by the owner, so remained a mystery. Fortunately we were out during the day.
No downstairs toilet, not surprising given the age of the cottage.
Winding steep narrow stairs to the bathroom, and lack of grab handles in the bath tub/shower challenging for older visitors.

Super cottage set back from the road in an ideal location to explore the Dales. Very well equipped and renovated to a high standard whilst keeping some nice 'original' features.
The beds were extremely comfortable and the house was warm, the log burner being a really nice addition to the evening.
We really appreciated the tea and biscuits left for us as our disorganised crew forgot to bring any.
Our stay was too short!
Whilst there is no parking allocated to the cottage itself, there is more than enough places to park at the roadside.

Perfect location near 2 pubs in a pretty Dales village, great views, nice walks straight out of cottage. The cottage is extremely clean and very comfortable
Wasn't a problem for us, but I imagine the stairs might be tricky if you had mobility issues.

The village is ideally placed to explore Wensleydale and Swaledale. After sundown, despite being on the main road, it's very quiet. The cottage is comfortable with mod cons, with a small seating area out at the back. There was a welcome pack on arrival. There was a log-burning fire but the CH was more than enough. Parking opposite was not a problem. It's very convenient for the local pub - a warm welcome and good food, while if you want something more up-market, the Wensleydale Heifer is a short walk at the end of the village. There is a farm shop a mile away, while Leyburn has a Co-Op and other stores.
Nothing. You soon get used to the front door lock's working (lift the handle first!).

Perfect location for accessing walks in Dales.Found 2 local pubs with excellent food. The Foxand Hounds and the Wensleydale heifer.
The cottage is on a very busy road so parking was tricky at times.

The cottage is very well appointed with plenty of kitchen equipment, tastefully decorated and refurbished to a high standard. Bathroom is very large with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The owners were very easy to contact, to ensure our stay was a great experience.
It was chilly on arrival, and Being a stone property it took a while to get it up to temperature. Thereafter it was very cosy!
