Old rustic ski chalet, good food, nice staff, beautiful views, cooler weather, and hiking
The ceilings are angular which you can hit your head on. It is rustic but worth it. The listing should reference Mt Vogel website for info on the cable car..

The mountain was stunning, and being there after all the (many) summer tourists had taken the last cable car back down the mountain was heavenly. The building was cute, especially the lounge, and the rooms were cosy if small.
The staff were very hard working, and managed a lot of demand from a lot of people, both guests and many more day visitors. Jozica was especially well mannered and kind, even whilst working so hard! 🙏🥰
The lack of choice for dinner was a surprise, and the food was adequate, but not a highlight.

Lovely spot for early walks
Clean and food delicious
Staff excellent
Very expensive and no reduction for fewer people than beds
Family room very small on entering and 1 bed in main area - no room for more than one person to move around - top mezzanine with 3 beds you cannot stand up in and only two thin shelves so everything on the floor (drawers would be helpful!) Ladder rather creaky for night time loo visits!
Hikes start with a lot of wide piste views for a fair way but once in wilder parts they were beautiful

The staff is genuinely kind and welcoming. The location is top notch!
Stairs to the beds in the room I stayed was creaky. I was scared it would fall apart but that added to the excitement. Not for my partner though.
