The room and bathroom were very bright and very warm (underfloor heating in the bathroom was amazing). The hotel gave a rustic local vibe but the rooms were modern, clean and new. The water in the shower was always super hot. The bed is very comfortable and the place is quiet. Amazing breakfast and good choice of dinner options. And the friendly and helpful staff made us feel very welcome. They opened the kitchen earlier to serve us breakfast on the last day. I call it great service!
The location is wonderful - a good starting point for walks and only a few minutes away from the ski slope.
The only small negative (and I'm being picky) was the shelving unit for clothes - the drawer was small and the shelves too narrow to comfortably store the clothes.

Das Team war extrem nett. Ich kann nur ein paar Wörter Slowenisch. Danke, dass das Team so gut Englisch spricht. Wir durften sogar noch auf dem Parkplatz stehen bleiben, während wir zum Skifliegen waren. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich. Das Bett war super bequem und wir hatten sogar jeder 2 Kissen. Das Badezimmer war ganz neu. Es fühlte sich an, als ob wir die ersten Nutzer waren. Das Frühstück war anders als in anderen Hotels (es gab hauptsächlich Eierspeisen, Müsli, Joghurt) aber alles wurde für jeden Gast frisch zubereitet und es war immer gut. Das Abendessen war hervorragend. Das Team hat sogar Sonderwünsche erfüllt, obwohl es sehr voll war. Wir wissen den Mehraufwand zu schätzen.
Der extrem starke Duft (Duftstäbchen) in der Lobby und in den Gängen könnte nicht jedem Gast gefallen.

Best location to visit Planica, 2 mins from shuttle bus stop, beautiful montains, very helpful and friendly staff, delicious breakfast and dinner.

This hotel has been updated. Maintains "old world charm" that I have enjoyed in Slovenia and Austria over the years . But it has newer flooring etc. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Bedding and towels are fresh and very clean, We booked three rooms and they all were great. The front desk staff is very very good and double in the restaurant. Made to order breakfast is included - - not just a buffet. I would love to bring my extended family here someday. It is convenient natural attractions in Mojstrana or the Vrsic Pass. Also it is very convenient to glitzier Kranjska Gora, Again, many thanks for a nice stay. I heartily recommend Hotel Pod'Koren !!!
No complaints. I saw comments from year ago that said this place was 'dated" and old timey - - in a negative way. I did not experience that at all.
