What a gem. About halfway up the road to the pass in the Julian Alps, this guesthouse / hostel is perfectly located. The breakfast was wonderful, as were the dinners we had here. We chose a room with a private bathroom, which was very good value. This is an excellent base for hiking and exploring the area.

The location is beautiful and the rooms are clean and nice (albeit small and rather spartan). The staff really makes you feel welcome.
Including fried ham or bacon with the eggs that are included in the price of breakfast would probably yield more guest satisfaction than it would cost the hotel.

Great location, very clean, and very lovely staff. The breakfast was plentiful and filling, with great morning views of nature.
There is no AC, so a fan in the room would have been very nice given the summer heat.
