The room was very comfortable & the evening meal was excellent value. Staff very attentive. Upholstery throughout the hotel superior quality.

The first thing to comment on is how good the staff were. Helpful and friendly in every area.
In other areas the experience was good but fell down slightly on detail. The room was cosy, but needed a bit of TLC. A bit of paint touching here and there. Dinner was good, but the sea bass was tiny and the lamb pie was parsimonious with the lamb. The sticky toffee pudding could have been warmer. The menu is not cheap.
At breakfast ingredients were excellent but eggs cooked too long, tomatoes too little.

Great location for the town centre. The bedrooms were great. Parking on site was handy. Saturday nights are a bit noisy due to local night life, however the rest was fine.

Staying at the White HART would be an acquired taste. It probably wouldn’t suit all customers. However, it had old world charm and we were given a suite, so we were really pleased. The staff were really friendly and helpful.The bath in the middle of the bedroom was a bit funky, but there’s always the shower in the bathroom. There was parking available when we returned from the seaside around 10 o’clock. We had really good sleep conditions and breakfast was excellent so we had a really great stay.
